HIGH TEA IN THE BRANDY DISTELLERY
Womens day 2021
On a cold, windy and rainy Monday morning,
we were celebrating Womensday in this very authentic 1795 building.

Ek het so uitgesien om tafels in die tuin te dek, maar toe die weer draai, moes ons vinnig na Plan B oorloop.
Dit is dan soos dit moes wees. Ons kon die rooi tapyt uitrol en als het perfek uitgewerk.

Ons het ons gaste heerlik bederf.
Verwelkom met ons eie spesialiteit, LADY ROOS vrugtepons met bloubessies, roosstroop, bessie sap en opgekikker met pienk vonkel en vars peppermentblare uit ons tuin.

So bietjie raad wanneer jy wil koek bak

BEPLANNING
WWW…

Wanneer, waar en wat.

Beplanning is die sleutel woord tot sukses.

Die belangrikste aspek van bak is om jou tyd reg te kies. Besluit wat werk vir jou. Kies ‘n tyd wat jy weet niks gaan jou steur of onderbreek nie.

WANNEER

Die tyd wat werk vir my is van 11nm tot 2 vm. Ek weet, dit klink bizarre.

Die restaurant bedryf waarin ek is, is heel dag aanhoudend en veeleisend. Telefone wat lui, gaste wat kom en gaan. Die oonde is beset. Personeel wat skarrel om jou.

Die tyd van die aand slaap almal of ontspan. My foon lui nie en my fokuspunt is op een taak.

WAAR

My klein kombuisie by my huis met sy lieflike oond is my keuse. Ek voel gemaklik, tuis en rustig. My eie spasie.

WAT

Beplan wat jy gaan bak. Sorg dat jy al die bestandele bymekaar het, voor jy die oond aan sit. Daar is niks meer irriterend indien jy begin en jy kort een of twee bestandele nie.

Nou kan ons begin

WENKE

Indien jy nog nooit gebak het, kies ‘n resep wat maklik is om jou selfvertroue op te bou.

Dit is ‘n wonderlike gevoel wanneer jou gebak suksesvol is. Nie net hoe dit lyk, maar ook hoe dit smaak. Dit is terapie vir jou gees, jou liggaam en jou siel.

Fokus net op jou gebak en vergeet van alle ander take en huiswerk. Ons vroue wil mos soveel as moontlik op een slag doen.

Sorg dat die oond se temperatuur altyd reg is. Die bestandele vars is en dat die ketel water gekook het.

Terwyl jou oond die werk doen, was die skottelgoed. Daar is niks meer wat jou meer moedeloos gaan laat voel, wanneer jy die berg later moet aanpak.

Nou vir daardie koppie tee.

Tot volgende keer, dan gaan ons verder.
