Currently in its 20th year, this prestigious, yet challenging, race across South Africa is one of the most gruelling mountain biking events in the world. Riders are reunited with family and friends here at Diemersfontein after many days of hardcore cycling in some tough conditions.

Yesterday was a very special day, as we celebrated the ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ of ๐ช๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น & ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ here on Diemersfontein.
Born from a commitment to empowering the next generation through education, David and Sue Sonnenberg and two parents spearheaded the establishment of Wellington Preparatory School and College back in 2004.
Today, 20 years later, the school has grown to accommodate 335 pupils, ranging from play school up to Grade 12.
A heartfelt congratulations to Headmaster Mike Aubin, co-founder and school administrator Heather Johnson, and esteemed teachers such as Connie, Lynne, Lena-Mari, and Andrea, as well as the entire faculty of Wellington Prep, including David and Sue. Diemersfontein recently enjoyed a marvelous evening in the Freestate, at Bloemfontein's historic Brandkop Estate.
Our event was completely sold out, with over 100 guests in attendance! Guests enjoyed a beautifully prepared 4-course dinner, paired with six Diemersfontein wines.
The wine lineup included our The Clockmaker Old Vine Chenin Blanc, Thokozani Cabernet Franc and our sundried Viognier dessert wine - the Sweet Sue.
Entertainment was also world-class, with performances by the magical voices of ๐๐๐๐จ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ (baritone), ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ค ๐๐๐ช (soprano) and ๐ฝ๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ฟ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ค๐๐ฃ๐ (tenor) โ all from the University of the Free State's ๐ข๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ.
