Rosamunds Florist, a family-run business, was started 42 years ago by Rosamund Chamberlain. Barbara Kemp joined her mom in the business in 1989 and took over the reins in 2000. The florist was previously located at Westville Village Market Shopping Centre, originally Hofmeyer Heights, but closed its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Barbara now offers consulting and contract work for events requ
iring floral arrangements. The family grew up in Westville and Barbara consistently provides beautiful and original creations to the community who have been so supportive over the years. According to Barbara the florist prides itself on offering fresh flowers, designed with care. Her brother, Greg, and sister, Di, are involved on an administrative and strategic level and the siblings have recently decided to ‘re-launch’ the family business.
‘’We are focussing on corporate clients who require arrangements for their reception areas on a weekly basis as well as décor for their client and staff functions,’’ explains Greg.
‘’Flowers will always be the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, to say congratulations or send condolences and this side of the business continues to grow. Our marketing efforts will, however, focus on corporates, bridal party bouquets, event and table décor and demos’’, says Barbara.
‘’Flower arranging demonstrations and workshops are a fun and creative activity for secretaries’ day, for end of year functions for your Book Club or for a birthday celebration,’’ concludes Barbara. With over twenty years of experience, and various awards under her belt, Barbara is a favourite go-to for flowers in the Westville community and surrounds.
