Let’s normalise space in reception areas!
Yes, the Pinterest photos look a-freakin-mazing, but is it functionally accurate?
1. Make sure the entrace to your reception area is wide enough! Guests normally stand up when the bride and groom enter the reception area, making a normal sized “isle” very crowded and the photos show it.
2. We always place our tables at least 1.5m apart.
3. If you are serving your guests a plated menu, place your tables at least 1.7m apart so the waiters can move comfortably between tables without disrupting the guests.
