Fellow residents of Muchinga Province,
As your Provincial Chairperson, I am committed to transforming football into a powerful tool for unity, empowerment, and development. Muchingaβs immense talent deserves to shine, and together we can build opportunities that uplift our youth, instill pride, and foster unity across the province.
STRATEGIC PLAN FOR FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT IN MUCHINGA PROVINCE
1. GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:
Launch football academies in every district, focusing on nurturing talent from schools, clubs and communities.
Introduce structured training sessions led by qualified local and visiting coaches for identified players at U12, U13, U15 and U17 both men's and women's football to prepare them prior to national programmes
2. INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT:
Strive to work with local authorities to upgrade and construct football pitches in schools and communities to make them better for talent development
Ensure each district has at least one standard training facility to support players' growth and talent develpment
3. CAPACITY BUILDING:
Train and certify local coaches and referees to enhance professionalism.
Train and capacity build club officials at various levels to improve football understanding and management
Train and capacity build club/team officials in financial management and how to work with local authorities for them to benefit from other sources of revenue
Partner with organizations to provide essential football equipment like balls, kits, and boots through established structures.
4. PROMOTION OF WOMEN'S FOOTBALL:
Establish women's football leagues and academies.
Organize women's football tournaments to ensure equal opportunities and recognition for female players in the province as it may take a bit longer to have division one structure for the province
5. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
Organize inter-district tournaments to promote competition, unity, and camaraderie more especially at U12, U13, U15 and U17 levels to make football foundation for the province stronger
Use football as a platform to advocate for education, health awareness, and social inclusion.
6. TALENT EXPOSURE AND PARTNERSHIPS:
Collaborate with national clubs, scouts, and sponsors to spotlight Muchingaβs rural talent.
Secure sponsorships to fund programs, tournaments, and facilities.
7. TRANSPARENCY AND PRUDENT USE OF RESOURCES:
Ensure resources are managed effectively to maximize football development.
Maintain an open-door policy to welcome ideas that improve football in the province.
8. HOSTING PROVINCIAL LEAGUE REVIEW MEETINGS:
Regularly evaluate successes and challenges in the league through review meetings.
Use feedback to strengthen and grow provincial leagues.
9. HOSTING A PROVINCIAL TOP 10 TOURNAMENT:
Introduce a prestigious tournament, like the ABSA Cup, to elevate the leagueβs profile.for top teams in D1 and D2 for both women and men to make the leagues stronger in addition to incentives from the nation.
Reward the best-performing teams, encouraging competition and excellence.
10. TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS:
Procure buses to reduce transport costs of running our leagues especially for Division One teams, minimizing walkovers and improving league operations.
11. FUNDRAISING VENTURES:
Develop innovative strategies to generate funds to support football programs and operations effectively.
Register Muchinga Province Football Association as a business entity to raise its own resources and create employment for the youth through ventures you councellors would identify for the region to be more independent.
