In a shocking turn of events, former President Donald J. Trump was shot at during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024. The incident occurred approximately six minutes into his speech, when gunshots rang out, prompting Trump to drop to the ground after noticing blood from a bullet grazing his right ear. Despite the alarming situation, Trump was not seriously injured and was swiftly taken to a hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is reportedly recovering well.
The assailant, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old, was situated on a nearby rooftop. The suspect was shot dead by a Secret Service agent after opening fire. The attack also resulted in injuries to three other men in the audience, all of whom were adults.
