1) When should you hire a wedding DJ
Professional wedding DJs are hired at least
6- 12 months in advance. So after securing your venue, decor, florist, etc. Do not delay booking your wedding entertainer.
Best vendors are on-demand and booked in advance.
2) Is entertainment a priority?
Most brides say their highest priority is venue, decor, and apparel. Entertainment is the least of their priorities. Yeah! Priorities differ but do not wait to be disappointed and regret on your wedding day. A photographer can have a bad photo but there are hundreds of great shots to choose from, a florist can have a wilted flower or two but it may be overlooked by the remaining stunning assortments, but if something fails with the DJ, especially at those critical moments it becomes a disaster, and everyone notices the drama. PA System is the backbone of the event, let us talk about announcements, vows, speeches, music, and dances.
DJ/ PA system can make or break your wedding, ruining the mood of the day; worst, your wedding video will be a nightmare.
3) To Be a DJ, you just need a laptop and speakers; anyone can do it, even my cousin.
Have you ever been to a wedding where the DJ is a family member; everyone wants to play his/ her favourite song; they're not professionals and feel it's a family thing? There's chaos and your wedding vision is ruined. Professional Wedding DJs have a vast knowledge that spans over 50+ years of all styles of music, we prepare and research before a gig. Guests will make requests without knowing either the correct song/ artiste or title, but a knowledgeable DJ will figure it out.
4) They are all pretty much the same. I know someone in a nightclub who DJs every night he can be my DJ.
Wedding DJ’ING and club DJ’ING are different fields altogether. Experience, talent, skill, and music knowledge make a big difference. Professional Wedding DJs know different cultural differences and wedding etiquette; decent playlist that accommodates all ages.
5) I might as well use a PA system from a friend/ church/ house of worship. Most houses of worship/ buy sound systems according to purpose and or specs i.e. church congregants, sound for vocals, indoor use, etc. Not every sound system meets the required sound pressure levels for mobile events. A friend who is not a full-time sound provider is not ideal. As seasoned wedding DJs, we are constantly upgrading our equipment to keep up with international standards. Music and DJ’ING are our passion and profession.
6) Why pay a lot of money when a cheap DJ is just as good?
Prices can be compared but quality and reputation cannot be compared.
