ÜBER DAS STÜCK
Der Sohn eines SS-Verbrechers versucht seinen Familienbanden zu entkommen und ein neues Leben zu beginnen, bis die Vergangenheit ihn einholt.
Paraguay 1970.
Rudi führt ein Leben, von dem viele Kinder träumen. Er wohnt in einem luxuriösen Haus mit Pool und Bediensteten. Seine Familie hat sich liebevoll um ihn gekümmert, der Vater ihm täglich Gute-Nacht-Geschichten vorgelesen. Eines Tages deutet sein bester Freund Hermann an, dass Rudis Vater ein SS-Arzt war, grausame Experimente an Kriegsgefangenen durchgeführt hat und bei Kriegsende nach Südamerika fliehen konnte.
Die Tatsache, dass sein Vater alles rechtfertigen will, prägt Rudis zukünftiges Leben, das nun vom Willen nach Wiedergutmachung der Gräueltaten bestimmt ist. Als Rudi für Recherchezwecke nach Deutschland reist, verliebt er sich dort in die Jüdin Sarah, deren Mutter Auschwitz überlebt hat. Je ernsthafter ihre Beziehung wird, umso mehr verstrickt sich Rudi in ein Meer von Lügen, da er Sarah seine Familiengeschichte verheimlicht. Als Sarah schwanger wird, kommt Rudi an einen Punkt, an dem er nicht mehr zurück kann…
