Farewell from Harvesting the Feast
To all my loyal customers and friends, it’s with mixed emotions I have made the hard decision not to reopen my catering business Harvesting the Feast after temporarily closing during the covid pandemic. I had hoped to reopen once restrictions eased/ lifted but due to the unstable economy I feel it is the best decision for myself and my family to close Harvesting the Feast indefinitely.
I would like to extend a huge thankyou to everyone who supported me and who helped grow my small catering business, opening in 2014 working out of the Fawcett Hall I would like to say a special mention and thanks to the committee of management, Fawcett Hall for allowing me the opportunity to work from the hall kitchen to then having a shop front on Grant Street, Alexandra during 2020-2021.
I am so grateful to everyone who has been a part of the Harvesting the Feast journey so many special events to remember. From the Fawcett Hall
Woodfired Pizza Nights, Autumn Dinners, Australia days and the Open Garden Cafés. Sedona Estate Autumn Picnics, So many weddings and birthdays, the Murrindindi Business awards, balls, prize giving’s, and not to forget the Alexandra Truck Show and Alexandra Pro Rodeo. Thank you for letting us make your event Something to Remember.
I also want to extend a big thankyou to Alan and Lisa Harding of Grant St. Grocer for giving me the opportunity to work with them after I shut my shop front. I have loved being a part of your business and the kitchen team for the past year. I will continue to work at Grant Street Grocer until mid-December, I will then be moving to Mentone, with my daughter Ashlee to give her more opportunities for schooling and to do the things she loves.
Also, a big shout out to my amazing team who help me at events Jamie Mulhall, Jordan Mulhall, Jaymie Elward, Cass Simms Love you guys and without you I wouldn’t have been able to do what I do. XO
Take care everyone and best wishes for your futures.
