Elly Street’s career path changed in an instant when her name was called out as runner up at the 2023 QTIC Salute to Excellence Awards.

Previous Salute to Excellence Awards winner, Jimmy Barker, who's now Chief Concierge at Emporium Hotels, was attending the awards ceremony and immediately recognised Elly’s enthusiasm.

Always on the search for new talent, Jimmy helped to kickstart Elly’s tourism career by offering her an interview for Concierge at the boutique hotel. Now Elly’s thriving in her new role, and it all started on the stage of the QTIC Salute to Excellence Awards!
