A flower jungle amongst, well, my indoor plant jungle 🤣 they are quite complementary though 😉

A mix of wildflowers, mini protea, native blossoms, gumnuts and greenery. This one is very bright and beautiful.

Sometimes art doesn't go to plan and that's OK. I find that when I plan something for an artwork it's actually a lot harder to execute it well compared to no plan at all... and just expressing myself and my inspired colours on a page.

As promised ❤ up close.

This painting process has been that of refinement and letting go - not sticking to a seen 'ideal' but going with where each paint /pen stoke leads me... Kind of like faith in life. Taking it each step at a time. Lots of little steps is a lot easier than fewer larger leaps.

These still remain one of my biggest sellers. Music themed paper flower stems!

I'll admit, These always get people talking whenever they see them in person. The questions I often get are...

Q: Are they made from real music sheets?
A: Yes! I search for pre-loved and quality sheet music.

Q: What type of music is it?
A: Quite a mix of genres. I can often tell which music particular roses are made from.

Q: Can you customise flowers to a certain song?
A: I sure can! If I can't source them in person, a digital copy can be provided and I can print Sheet music and make the flowers.

Q: Do you make them by hand?
A: I sure do! I've made so many I could probably do them in my sleep ☺

These are available stemmed 🌷or unstemmed🌺

This time of year they become a favourite as gifts for music teachers, classroom teachers as well as decorarions for Christmas 🎄

Paper flower posies inspired by native Australian flora are amongst my favourite designs. The mix of bright and dusty tones, ruffled and tightly weaved paper petals are mesmerising to the eyes.

These can be gifted as an 'everlasting' gift - no watering required 😉 and they also make a great conversation starter.

I am so happy with how this Mottlecah Eucalyptus painting turned out. It is predominantly a watercolour painting with a painted acrylic backround; highlights amd shadows added with fine point pens.

After a busy work/life season this year I am endeavoring to stock up my shop with artworks and more flowers - keep your eyes out for some Christmas gift ideas! 🌲

Sending little roses around Australia is still happening! Life has been a bit all over the place the past couple of months so I've had to tone down flower making/advertising my availability.

I had an operation this week so haven't been able to do much hands on work (and pain killers tend to make me feel very 'out if it')

However last night I was able to pull out my watercolours and have a go at something I haven't fully attempted before - painting variegated leaves. Still a work in progress but I'm enjoying the process. Patience is key for this.

I continue to be inspired by fellow artists and mums who use their creativity for brightening this world!

I had so much fun creating these lovely atlas buttonholes 🥰 this style was a customised order.

The atlas, cream and pink nestle so nicely together.

Any travel lovers out there? Atlas flowers make a unique and quirky gift for those who are currently missing their travel fix during this Covid19 season. All my atlas flowers are made from real atlas sheets, no fake papers here 👍

You would think my geography skills would be brilliant after making atlas flowers, but alas, no 😂

I've had lots of orders for atlas flowers lately I'm needing to boost my paper stock, which can sometimes be a mission especially as paper atlas books are sometimes a needle in a haystack to find! 🔭

I enjoy drawing so much. I find it so therapeutic and setting rules aside to just be free and express yourself is truly beautiful.

I always tell my students (I'm a teacher too!) that there are no rules, to be themselves and express who they are with the gifts and tools they have. Also, being just like everyone else can get boring. Let your creative light shine!
