Which Way? Murri-Ailan Way 2017

Murri-Ailan Way is Queensland University of Technology’s celebration of National Aboriginal Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week and this year will be held between 8 and 11 August (Week 3, Semester 2) at,

• Caboolture Campus courtyard (Tuesday 8 August),
• Gardens Point Campus,

Kidney Lawn (Wednesday 9 August),
• Kelvin Grove Campus, A Block Lawn (Thursday 10 August), and
* QUT Botanic Bar, Gardens Point Campus (Friday 11 August). Background

Yearly, without fail the NAIDOC Week has fallen within the university semester break in early July and with a campus empty of the general student population, bang for buck is lost holding celebrations on campus. In 2014, with the help of a number of like-minded QUT divisional areas and the faculty of Health, the inaugural Murri-Ailan Way celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and talent on campus was held and we haven't looked back! In its fourth year, the event is held over three days across three campuses and has seen some stand out acts over the past two years such as Native Ryme, Chris Tamwoy, Robbie Miller, CKNU, Slip-On Stereo and Dubmarine perform. With negotiations under way for this years talent, we'll keep you posted as to Which Way? - Murri-Ailan Way!!
