I realise I haven't shared a post in a while... I've been busy training.

About 20 years ago, I was asked to come and try a Muay Thai class. I thought getting hit for fun didn't sound like a great idea, but why not give it a go.

Over that time I've learned a lot about my limits, resilience, mind, body, people, and finding peace in chaos. My fight sports journey has taken me to practice Kung Fu, Boxing, MMA, BJJ, Kickboxing, and, of course, Muay Thai.

Last weekend, I was privileged to complete my black level grading at SDFC with Ajarn Yai Andy Robertson under the banner.

Thank you to and for getting me ready for this grading. It's a tunnel mindset and stressful on this old man's body, so without you both, failure was certainly a possibility

Tomorrow, we fly out to for her to run the T50, a near 53km in the stunning surrounds

I'm super proud of how far (literally and figuratively) she has come in those short years. Overcoming adversity, motivation, and failing. Celebrating achievements, milestones, and fulfilling.

It's for real life but also a metaphor for us. Support, encouragement, pursuit, goals, success, trial, determination... together.
