So I thought it was about time I introduced myself on this page. I love meeting my customers at setups and its amazing how many people are interested in the story of Splash of Bohemia - Luxury Picnics, so I thought I would share a little about our journey so far with you all.

My name is Corinne and I am originally from Scotland but moved to Australia in 2022. I initially moved to beautiful Tasmania but decided it was too much like "home" and set my sights on warmer Climes.

I arrived in Brisbane in March 2023 and have absolutely fallen in love, not only with Australia but this fabulous city I now call home.

What most of my customers don't know is this is not my full time job. I am actually a Registered Nurse who works Full time on the North side of Brisbane, but decided to create a small business in October last year to help fund my dogs move to be with me from Scotland. This may seem a little crazy to some, but I emigrated entirely on my own and my fur baby means the world to me. She is currently in the safe, loving care of my mum, but my aim is to have her here with me by end of 2025.

Now, the reason I selected a pop up picnic business was because prior to my nursing career I worked and flourished in events management. I have always enjoyed and taken great pride in my work and absolutely love to set the "Perfect table" to host.
I specifically decided to setup this particular business as I was horrified at the prices charged for luxury picnics when I tried to book my own last year.

I spoke to my partner about the idea of introducing affordable picnics for every budget and he was extremely supportive. I started small at the end of last year and I am delighted to say that we are steadily beginning to grow.

I always strive to ensure your event is perfect for your needs. I am as affordable as I can be, given the cost of living crisis upon us. I will continue to do my best to offer beautiful setups and hopefully create lasting memories for you and your guests.

However, please remember every booking for us has a purpose too and I have a beautiful lil Shih tzu dog named Poppy is patiently waiting to be reunited with me on this side of the world. Every picnic is a step closer to making that happen for us.

What a busy weekend for us with picnics. So glad everyone seemed to enjoy their setups...
