retrospective no.6. Lithgow Allstars part 3 . These legends did an amazing homage set to the late Colin Burgess (1st AC/DC drummer), as he was terminally ill in hospital. What made it more special is they played a set of AC/DC song with Colin’s brother Denny. This set had some rocking and truly touching moments Club Lithgow - Lithgow City Bowling Club . It’s with great sadness that Colin Burgess ( former AC/DC drummer) has been admitted to hospital and will be unable to attend the Lithgow Lowdown. The Lithgow Allstars will be doing an AC/DC medley in tribute to him. Also Denny Burgess of Master’s Apprentices will be playing with the band. We will be wishing Colin a speedy recovery. Our first mentor of the Lithgow Lowdown we will be Highlighting is the Midnight Oil’s didgeridoo player “Charlie McMahon” . Charlie was hired as a guide by MIDNIGHT OIL on their DIESEL & DUST tour and has been playing with them since 1978. Charlie has recorded on albums by SNAKEFINGER, MIDNIGHT OIL, JANES ADDICTION, HISASHI SHIRAHAMA, ED KUEPPER, TED EGAN, JOHN WILLIAMSON, SUNRIZE BAND & DEF FX. Lithgow Lowdown is an event that is showcasing the Amazing Talent that is bringing talent from the Blue Mountains and Lithgow/central west to offer. With a main event where 4 mentors from the likes of Masters Apprentices and Midnight oil and the first Drummer from AC/DC. That will be performing with mentors a medley of songs from their back catalogue. This mentorship will be involving artist from 5 lithgow acts, in which they will learn about songcraft and stage craft. This will be celebration of bringing artist together and showcasing what happens when we bring the local creative community together in an collaborative environment

Event Made a reality due to a FRRR grant in collaboration with GBMCAN

Also we will be fundraising money for Mingaan Tribal Council for their cool burning ranger project.
