Tucked away behind the old oak trees just 3km out of Maffra you will find the iconic Mewburn Park Homestead. Always known as the party house for travellers passing through in the late 1800's, we continue the tradition starting from 2017. The gardens are lush with tranquil walkways, hidden spots that give the ‘perfect moment’ shot, old oak trees lining the breathtaking driveway and ponds that ooze
serenity. The birds swoop in front as you drive in, welcoming you to the sanctuary of Mewburn Park. The homestead is wrapped with a huge veranda, taking you back to the glorious 1920’s, while the servant’s quarters take you back even further to the colonial 1850’s. We also have the historic stables, which are simply stunning - full of rustic textures and character, making it the perfect backdrop for photos or even an open air reception. A clear view marquee (comes with festoon lighting, flooring, tables and chairs) gives you the chance of embracing the beautiful surroundings: the old stables, the lake, the mountains and some farm charm. Think of: a few drinks to get the mingling started, delicious finger food, 2 sessions of ‘mini speed dates’ followed by a party. Extremely fun and very friendly - don't settle for ordinary dating. It's a chance to meet new people, lovers or friends for life! 🍸🙋💁♀️🍢🍹💘
Once you arrive we will have a grazing table and your welcome drink waiting for you. Our friendly staff will greet you at entry and explain how it works. After a little time for mingling whilst listening to , we will start the speed dating part one for our Gippslanders!
Your MC Evie will guide you through the night and keeps an eye on the time also. You meet each person on our long rows of tables to have mini-date with each other. But really, it’s just a fun chat! ✌️
Halfway through the night, we take a 45-minute break for a selection of a complimentary hot & cold roaming finger food by the team of and some more mingling, before we finish off the second round of mini speed dates.

The tickets are capped at 60 each and we will try to make sure there is an even amount of both female, and male attendees.

COCKTAIL STYLE SET UP…
Thinking of having a cocktail style wedding reception? Here are some pictures from Lauren & Matt’s stunning set up back in April.
We quite often get asked what we feel is better, so here are a few hot tips when considering a cocktail style reception:
1. Have a look at your guest list, are they the minglers and chatty people? They know each other and love to hop from one to the other person (”Haven’t seen you in ages mate!”)
2. Make sure you have enough seating options, our thumb rule is 50% of your guest number for tables and chairs, then add the bar stools & bar tables and add some lounges
3. Make sure the ‘oldies’ are aware and have appropriate seating. It’s funnily also sometimes the ladies with the high heels who need a seat 😜 whereas the lads like to lean on to something 😆
4. Create corner or areas to break up the space
5. Don’t go too big with your space, as you don’t know where people will actually end up hanging out. Try to avoid the space being too big.

After a shared feast & dessert station by the award winning the dance floor is all yours and we can let loose. The band from Little Wolf Entertainment is playing some acoustic tunes to start with and later on their Dj will be accompanied by some fabulous sax tunes. Oh my lord.

The Stables - home to some of the old Caulfield Cup champions, are a truly eye catching building. The bricks were made on property in the 1850’s. The festoon lights are giving that extra festive atmosphere (all night long) and the old barn doors and bricks add to the charm and rustic character for a perfect Twilight shot. The Stables Bar is tucked away in the old workshop of the Stables and is filled with authentic collectables from the property from over it’s 160 years.
The Stables are very popular as they offer an impressive space for ceremonies in the courtyard.

PARKCHELLA - what an epic night! It was the party we wanted to do for a long time and finally it all came together. From roving entertainment @becky.bubble @jessy.spin to live music from @acoustics_by_erin and the entrance gate with balloons from @thecreativeco.gippsland to the marquee being styled in a happy summer colour palette with flowers and iridescent glam.
