It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that we are closing our Cranbourne Park Cafe. After serving you, our L’Arte Legends for more than 5 years (and through some of the toughest years of our lives), our forced shift from our original location and lack of sales means it just isn’t viable.
We will still be operating our Clayton Cafe and Catering Enterprise, so if you need catering please contact us.
Thankyou Legends for your amazing support. From chatting over a coffee, to delivering flowers, grazing boxes, catering and packaged meals during covid it sure has been a journey.
OUR IMPACT;
We employed more than 60 locals and gave more than 50 NDIS recipients who have their health challenges, training, employment and participation opportunities within the enterprise.

Wow! 🤩 Such a great day was had at the Australian Synchrotron Open Day. As a business we have never served as many customers than we did today. Well done to our amazing team as we served up amazing coffee, burgers, wraps, and of course our sensational Pies and Sausage Rolls. 😎🤩

We are saddened to hear the passing of one of Melbournes iconic Chefs, Greg Malouf. Along with 3 other amazing Melbourne Chefs, Greg (on the left), and pictured here with Matteo Pignatelli, was a MadCap Cafe Chef Ambassador. MadCap was the precursor to L’Arte, and Greg played a significant role in our success.

L’Arte Central Social Enterprise Cafe and Art Space

L’Arte Central fills a void in the community. Having a mental health issue or disability and whatever that may look like is challenging but what happens when when the recovery journey has commenced?

At L’Arte Central we will train, educate and equip people with mental health challenges to gain or return to employment, education, volunteering or other meaningful activity as appropriate for their recovery. It will create pathways back into mainstream community life and realising their full potential. It also provides a vehicle for changing community attitudes towards those with mental health challenges or disabilities. Everyone deserves the opportunity to be meaningfully employed or to do activities that meaningful as it provides so many benefits: income, connection and training.

When you visit L’Arte Central and you drink your Coffee and eat your amazing Chef produced food L’Arte Central will be teaching people a range of hospitality and life skills to increase their employment opportunities and community engagement.
