It's been a big year here at White House International! Over the next month we will be sharing a little insight from each of our staff members on what 2023 looked like for them. To kick us off we have Hannah Cockerill (a.k.a. Hanni), our wonderful Chief of Staff!

We first thought of writing these updates back in June to reflect on the first six months of what shaped up to be a huge and incredible 2023. I am now sat here in November reflecting on the past 12 months and quite frankly can’t believe how fast the year has passed and that we are on the countdown to Christmas!

There have been so many events this year that I have loved, as every individual who works within the event industry will understand, there is a certain ‘post event high’ and it is during this time that I get to really appreciate what we have been able to achieve as a team and what we are capable of. A personal favourite event of mine would have to be the Colas 15-Year Celebration in June. To be able to bring a client’s vision to life and receive such positive feedback after the event is the reason that this is our career choice. Of course, there are challenges a long the way, and in Event land, sometimes those challenges are larger than some, and as most would understand, COVID has certainly provided challenges this year. It seems to be at our most challenging times, I find that I am incredibly proud of our team and our ability to get ‘stuck in’ and support where required.

I will celebrate my two-year anniversary with White House International in February 2024 and I couldn’t be prouder of the team in which I am a part of and the connections I have been able to make within our community. The Sunshine Coast is such a special place to live and work and with so many exciting new start ups and small businesses in our region, there is so much possibility for growth. To be able to watch Chambers, Industry Groups, Businesses (small and large) continue on such positive journeys and to be able to work closely with many of these individuals is wonderful and keeps the fire burning in my stomach!

Throughout 2023 we have been working on growing White House International as a company and looking forward to 2024 gives me goosebumps at the thought of what is on the horizon! For now, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to working with you further in the New Year.

What a night!!

We have officially completed the largest event on our 2023 event calendar, the 2023 Sunshine Coast Business Awards!

With 870 people in the room at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre, this event was no easy feat. The White House team have been working away at this event for the last year and seeing it all come together was the best reward!

From the first guests arrival to the last guests departure, this event can be described as nothing but spectacular!

The night was opened with an amazing musical performance featuring 17-year-old singer Zara, Chad, Skye and the band from Amplify and the Oriana Choir. We then moved swiftly into the awards ceremony, MC’d by Australian Actor, Shane Jacobson before inducting five businesses into the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Hall of Fame. The night wrapped up with a dance party, hosted by Amplify which got the whole crowd up and dancing.

2023 was the second year we got to work with Shane Jacobson for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards and as usual we were not disappointed!

Shane is an absolute gun behind the mic as MC, adding to the event in all the best ways.

A massive thankyou to Shane for making the trip to the Sunshine Coast for the event again this year!

Huge thank you to everyone at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards last night. I had possibly too much fun being MC for the gig. Great room of humans and also very worthy recipients of the awards. Thanks for the laughs and thanks to the Penguin lady!!! Everyone that was there knows who I mean!!

Today we are throwing it back to June and the COLAS 15 Year Celebration event!

The COLAS Group is an international company specialising in the construction and maintenance of road, air and maritime transport infrastructure.

With their Australian head office based in Sydney and a celebration planned to take place in Brisbane, COLAS needed somebody on the ground to assist with the management and ex*****on of this spectacular event and we were more than happy to accept the job.

Of course, a 15 Year Celebration is not complete without great food, music and entertainment, and this event had it all!

The night featured Australian musician, Ricki-Lee Coulter, TV personality, Kylie Gillies and Australian rugby union great, John Eales.

Guests also had the opportunity jump up on the pedestal of the 360* photobooth, or have a personalised caricature or fashion illustration drawn.

We love an event that’s a real challenge and with so many moving parts, this was just that!

Thankyou to COLAS for letting us be a part of your special night! We can’t wait to work together again sometime soon!

Today is a special day as we celebrate the birthday of White House International’s fearless leader, Min!

Min is a force in the Sunshine Coast community, putting her heart and soul into absolutely everything she does.

As a team we are lucky to be led by somebody so kind and caring who guides the way, fostering the success of not only the company but each and every individual as well. You could not ask for somebody more encouraging and supportive in all aspects of life!

Thank you Min for everything you do and for making White House International such an amazing place to get to work everyday!

Earlier this year we hosted the annual Maroochydore Chamber of Commerce x Kawana Chamber of Commerce x Coolum Business and Tourism Chamber Drive Night, out at the Big Kart Track.

What a night! Full of networking, fun and healthy competition, this was definitely an event not to be missed!

After a tumultuous year in 2022, the White House team were blessed in 2023 to have the beautiful Maja rejoin the team in a full time capacity!

Over the last two years Maja has played the role of Portfolio Manager, working tirelessly to ensure all of our Chambers of Commerce and Industry Groups continue to thrive. Maja has always had her heart attached to delivering for our clients and the business; our surprise and delight queen Maja is exceptional at making every occasion a special occasion!

Today we are sad to say goodbye to Maja as she finishes her journey at White House International.

Thankyou Maja for everything you’ve done for both White House and the Sunshine Coast business community! We will miss you but wish you all the best for your new chapter in life.

Say hello to the new Coolum Business and Tourism Executive Committee for 2023/24.

From face painters and balloon twisters, to 15+ locavores and a $30000 giveaway; Saturday’s White's IGA Family Fun Day had it all!!

We love it when, between the White House team and our clients, an event comes together seamlessly and unfolds effortlessly on the day. Of course, none of this happens without extensive prior planning, meticulous run sheets and excellent communication, all things we pride ourselves on here at White House International!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with the White’s IGA team to bring their Family Fun Day to life and even more of a pleasure to be there on the day and experience it!

We are late to celebrate our Anni because she does our social media and she was never going to bring attention to her birthday.

So in a takeover of the socials, here I am with a picture she wouldn't know we had.

Annika is a total superstar who has an uncanny quiet calm to her that truly embodies an event manager that builds confidence in chaos. As a professional netballer, Anni is a natural event manager and to be honest we are still trying to work out what she can't do!

We adore you Anni and are forever grateful you choose us as your work family ❤

Forward Fest 2023 saw the whole White House team onsite to deliver a spectacular two day festival of business at Venue 114.

Throwing it back to the 50s! 🕰

Last month we had the honour of helping local plumbing company, NCP host their 70 Year Celebration event. Having opened their doors for the first time in 1953, it was only fitting the theme for the night was the 50s!

From recognizing the history of the company to the lolly bar, photo booth and Andino Magician, this event was everything a 70 Year Celebration should be! 🎉

🌟🎉 We are still on an event high after this brilliant day! We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this event truly exceptional.

Our primary goal was to have an incredible time on the course while supporting the Broncos Community Development Program. Together, we aimed to raise $20,000 to empower primary and high schools with valuable programs that foster smarter choices in areas like cyber bullying, peer pressure, and self-confidence.

Guess what? The day exceeded all our expectations! Not only did we have an unforgettable experience, but we also managed to raise an astounding $23,725 for the program! This remarkable achievement is a testament to the generosity and unwavering support of our incredible community.

We are profoundly grateful to each and every one of you for contributing to this tremendous success. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of young individuals, equipping them with the tools they need to navigate challenges and build a brighter future.

We still have some room at our Sunshine Coast Celebrity Golf Classic on Friday 28th April 2023 so we have decided to combine the unique strengths within our team and deliver something extraordinary to businesses that want electrifying brand kudos!

Our President Min Swan will design a customised Golf Hole Activity that is on-point, on-brand, and on-message and that will have our golfers actively engaging with your business at the Sunshine Coast Celebrity Golf Classic.

Another fabulous year working with to bring to life the annual Mercedes-Benz Trophy Day. We welcomed 135 players to the beautiful Golf Club. All of who we were assured had a brilliant day on the green!

One of our team's favorite tasks of the year is welcoming players during registration for this event. And who can blame us? There's nothing better than dealing with someone who's about to enjoy a beautiful day at Noosa Springs, basking in the sunshine and gearing up for a round of golf! 🏌️‍♀️⛳️

Jack Reed is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2010s for the Brisbane Broncos of the NRL. An England international representative, Reed primarily played as a centre. Whilst he was born in England he played his entire junior and professional career in Australia. We are so excited to welcome Jack!
