Congratulations to Southern Australian Livestock Pty Ltd on celebrating 40 years in business! We had the pleasure of catering a cocktail party last night acknowledging this milestone. Wishing the team good luck for the next 40 years!
Last night I catered the local Lions Changeover Dinner again (lost count of how many years I've done it....maybe 5 or 6? π€·π»ββοΈ).
This year was extra special as my Dad was awarded the James D Richardson Honor Award for service to Lions Australia. Not a bad effort for nearly 88 ππ
Dad joined the Lions when he retired and moved to Naracoorte over 20 years ago and what a great club to be a part of! One day, when I have spare time, I will be a proud Lioness.
My business would not be what it is today without the behind the scenes support of both my Dad, and my Mum (who is 82), who have, and do do, many things like peel spuds, deliver catering, babysit (when my son was younger), do the dishes just to name a few things! But the most important roles they have had is moral support, love and encouragement. Thank you xx
This week has been a huge week of catering and I've made it to the finish line (just π€£π€£).
This takeaway is on its way to Padthaway for a celebration of 90 years earth-side!

Another long, lazy lunch for a group of friends who worked together in the Middle East in the 1980s.....on a cold, wet (yay, good to finally see rain) wintery day at the beautiful , one of my favourite venues.
A lovely night out at Farmer's Leap to co-cater a local farmer's special birthday! I was asked to prepare a seafood extraveganza, and it was well received by the guests!
Oysters 3 ways, brioche crayfish sliders, crab croquettes, prawns cocktails, seafood marinara and fish chowder were my offerings.

Another day spent playing teacher with some year 10 students wanting some "hands-on" industry experience ....yummy morning tea and freshly made pasta with 4 different sauces for lunch π

I love catering private, intimate lunches for good mates! Especially when I have free rein to deliver a jam-packed menu, featuring Wagyu steak as the star!
Canapes included pear & blue cheese wrapped in prosciutto, halloumi wrapped in pancetta, meatballs, mini Yorkshire puddings with Horseradish cream and pastrami, toasts with fig & marinated fetta topped with sticky fig syrup, and smoked trout blinis.
Desserts included autumn mini tarts of quince, rhubarb and apple, and mixed tarts filled with nocciolatta hazelnut chocolate, dulce de leche and lemon curd, finished with a good cheese platter π

Shared mains of lamb cutlets with homemade tomato relish and salsa verde, minute scotch fillets, and herb and garlic chicken steaks, served with roast potatoes (missed a photo), roast vegetable and quinoa salad, pesto pasta salad and watermelon, pomegranate, mint and feta salad (a new favourite).
Dessert was Biscoff and mixed berry cheesecake cups with triple chocolate brownies.

I love catering intimate family gatherings, especially for people I have known since childhood, in their own home.
It was only the 2nd ever Beef Wellington I have ever made and medium rare was the request. I think I met the brief! Seared eye fillet, smothered in Dijon mustard and sprinkled with Italian herbs, then wrapped in mushroom duxelle and proscuitto, and baked in puff pastry π the 1st I made for the gentleman's 70th a few years ago! Practice makes perfect!

Reception was held under the stars and festoon lighting to add to the ambience of the special occasion and venue.

A new vegetarian dish coming right up.....pan-fried potato gnocchi, roast cauli, cauli puree and a Truffle cream sauce......yummmmm........I had a similar version a few weeks ago at a pub.....but had a salsa verde, pinenuts and parmesan instead of the Truffle cream......
