On Thursday night Tom Haynes was selected to play his first game of AFL Seniors Football, which will be played this afternoon at 4.30pm at Bill Smyth oval in Narooma. What a remarkable journey for such a young man. Tom will be returning to the football field after suffering a cardiac arrest in June last year, he may well be the first person to be playing AFL with a Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator. The road to this point has had many bumps but this is such an amazing milestone and is testimony to the strength and resilience of our son to get back to as normal a life as possible. We are so proud of him. We would like to again thank those of you who have supported us through this journey and would love to see you all this afternoon as we watch him run back onto the field at 4.30pm.
