This Saturday the Kanga Markets and Events will be hosting the EOFY indoor markets at Yanchep Central Shopping Centre. Eighty9Colours will be there from 9am to 3pm come and say Hi.

Food Truck spaces have now been released for the Vines Christmas Market and Family Event Day. Entertainment all afternoon; then a family Christmas movie and all the while market stalls and food vendors.

Interested then get in quick as we want a range of foods but will aim to give each style an exclusivity (ie one India, one Pizza, one Mexican etc)

Prices are only $75 per bay ($10 discount if you live in the Vines suburb).

Hi, I’m Liquorice,
I’m a 1yo tabby with the whitest bib and mittens you’ll ever see. I might be tiny, but there’s plenty of sass in this little bundle (just ask my foster-siblings).
I didn’t get much time for kitten stuff as I was a mumma very young, but I’ve recently started to discover this thing called ‘play’ which is pretty cool and can keep me occupied for ages!
I’ve also started to learn a ‘mew’ language rather than my usual ‘nnnyikk’, creaky door type sound.
Best of all I love one on one head boops with my favourite human - don’t get me wrong, I love my foster siblings but they’re a bit intimidating (yet weirdly they back off when I fight back!) and just a quiet bit of purr time and nuzzles is sometimes all you need, you get me?

We are closely monitoring the situation regarding this storm - at present the forecast for Ellenbrook tomorrow is good with light winds and only a slim chance of a light shower BUT we know things can change quickly and will advise if Autumn Market at Brooklane Shopping Centre is affected.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Greater Perth
for DAMAGING WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in parts of Greater Perth area.

Issued at 5:22 pm Friday, 10 May 2024.

Severe thunderstorms affecting the Perth coast south of Fremantle.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:20 pm, a severe thunderstorm likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near waters west of Rockingham. This thunderstorm is moving towards the southeast. It is forecast to affect Secret Harbour, Warnbro and Keralup by 5:50 pm and Keysbrook and North Dandalup by 6:20 pm.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* If outside find safe shelter away from trees, power lines, storm water drains and streams.
* Close your curtains and blinds, and stay inside away from windows.
* Unplug electrical appliances and do not use land line telephones if there is lightning.
* If there is flooding, create your own sandbags by using pillow cases filled with sand and place them around doorways to protect your home.
* If boating, swimming or surfing leave the water.
* Do not drive into water of unknown depth and current.
* Slow down and turn your headlights on.
* Be alert and watch for hazards on the road such as fallen power lines and loose debris.
* If it is raining heavily and you cannot see, pull over and park with your hazard lights on until the rain clears.

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:25 pm.

Dog-friendly Christmas Markets🎄🎁🐶

Date: Sunday 26th November
Time: 11am - 3:30pm
Where: Valley Social, 8731 West Swan Road, Henley Brook

UPDATE - This Sunday 26th November is the date for one of our biggest events of the year, and at this stage we intend to go ahead as planned.

HOWEVER, we are carefully monitoring both the Heatwave situation and Bushfire situations.

Kanga Markets, Valley Social and our stallholders will be working together to ensure there are plenty of watering stations for our visiting canine friends and shoppers. Also encouraging building in ‘shade zones’ to the stall areas to ensure the comfort of visitors and sellers alike.

We are also painfully aware of the horrific fire situation currently affecting the Northern Suburbs, sending a huge shout out to the firies and volunteers who are working their backsides off at the moment and we hope they and all the people who live around there stay safe.

Thanks as ever for your patience and understanding; be assured we will keep everyone posted should any changes need to be made.

As always, we are here to support the Perth Community and hope everyone stays safe

It seems every year around this time we need to post this, but please folks, if you decide to attend another event instead of ours, can you let us know in plenty of time so we can invite another stallholder to attend in your place?

It really isn't fair if we have declined an application in your favour for you then to turn around and decide you have what you think is a better offer.

Come on, we are all small businesses, and we work damn hard to keep our prices low to allow opportunities for all, so it's a kick in the guts to be dumped at the last minute in favour of the 'bigger better' deal. We'd prefer you just went there in the first place, and let someone else have a chance with the Kanga Family.

Sorry if this seems brutal, but I'd rather be honest and upfront than keep having to cancel on those who actually continue to support us as we support them.
