During our off season, we have been actively engaged in addressing the challenges posed by clear marquees in Perth. One prominent issue we encounter is the significant temperature increase within these structures, reaching up to 20 degrees higher than the surrounding ambient temperature (even hotter at the top while using a ladder). This renders clear marquees unsafe as working environments for anyone inside them.

To tackle this problem, we have reached out to WorkSafe to conduct an investigation. Our objective is to establish a minimum safety standard for marquee providers, which involves the installation of covers over clear marquees while people are working inside.

If you are in favor of this initiative, we kindly request you to share your support and share any negative experiences you may have had in a clear marquee with the WorkSafe commissioner or email me directly.

What we never do at micktric events is……
Hair, nails, flowers, makeup, furniture, dance floors, marquees, styling, planning, or being a priest.

We do event lighting and power and in our opinion, no one does it better. When selecting vendors, know there’s always a risk of not getting exactly what you want when you select a one stop shop.

It’s always better to whole arse one thing then half arse two!
