I’m super excited to be doing a 3 turntable set with Mama Quilla, with a full visual experience, using our Atem video mixer.
We will have 2 serato video channels, and a birds eye view to show live scratching, and the ability to jump between them all, sending the main video output to a 6m screen behind us on main stage at Road to Nowhere, 5pm till 9pm on NYE!
This video is a quick little snippet of the parts all coming together for the first time.

Mama Quilla and I are playing at Creature Campout this weekend.
It says we are playing glitch.. which we will.. but we are also going to throw in some funk, some house, some DnB and some cheesy remixes of old school classics.. and of course, some of our own live mashups. 🎶

It’s been a few months since our last big gig..
It has been good to have a break. Mama Quilla and I have been in the studio cooking up some new funky mashups, and so I’m super excited for this event. Looking forward to getting a chance to play some new tunes through a nice big sound system! 👍🏾😎

If you live anywhere near Bundaberg.. or if you have a teleportation device.. then come and party with us in July.
Remember, the revolution is pointless if we aren’t also making sure to include fun and dancing in our lives.

I was going through some old CDs this morning and I stumbled upon this old mix I made years ago. The first section was recorded back in 2005 on vinyl, and then I rerecorded the ending a few years later on serato (vinyl simulation.)
Some of it isn't really what I would choose to play these days, but it is a good example of the style of mixing I was into back then.

I totally relate to this. I can remember the details of hip hop tracks better than any other information. Ask me what was the name of old mate from the gig last week and I probably won’t be able to tell you.. but ask me what tempo a track from my hip hop collection is, or what album it was on, or who produced it, and I’ll be able to tell you with confidence.

Woohooo! I’m so excited to not only be DJing at Elements this year, but also to be getting involved in the DJ workshop with Lickweed. I look forward to sharing some of my mixing and scratching techniques, and I’m also excited to learn some new tricks from the other amazing artists who will be part of this workshop.

If you are a DJ who is interested in learning some more hands on tricks, and you’re going to be at Elements, come and join us on Saturday morning for a DJ nerd session. DJs of all levels of skill and experience are welcome, so don’t be shy. Come and join us, and let’s all level up together.

I am excited to share that I have finished recording, filming and editing the first mixtape in the Dedicated to Revolution series. The first mix in the series is mostly vinyl, with a few digital tracks mixed in there on serato, and it is dedicated to Malcolm X. Mama Quilla and I are booked in to play the main stage on Friday night at Mushroom Valley festival this weekend, right before Skool of Thought! I’ve been spinning Skool of Thought’s tracks for many years in my sets, so to be playing right before him on the main stage is very flippin’ exciting for me!
