Are you planning an event?
When planning an event yourself, it can often seem overwhelming which is why we always recommend hiring a professional so you can enjoy your day. If you are planning an event yourself, make sure you follow our top 5 steps:
1. Give yourself more time than you think - depending on your experience and how busy you are, an event creeps up on you before you know it, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time, ideally more time than you think to start planning and organising your event.
2. Choose a theme - do your research on what type of theme you want for your event, draw inspiration from other events, instagram and even pinterest are great places to start.
3. Determine your budget - this is probably the most important one you'll want to take the time to think about. Your budget needs to be realistic based on your desired outcome. For example, flowers can be a luxury for a lot of events, so make sure you think about what your non-negotiables are for your event and what are the things you can go without.
4. Order your decor/supplies ahead of time - don't leave these things to the last minute! Once you have decided on your theme be sure to start ordering these ahead of time so you can see whether you have enough. There is a fine balance you will need to master between your event looking bare or looking cluttered.
5. Choose a venue that's appropriate for your number of guests - just like you want to find the right balance of decor for your event, you also want to find a venue that has that same balance of space to people.
