Now you've done all your prep it's time to put it aside and focus on what's there. Is there another actor? If so, connect with them and change them to get what your character wants: they are your activity. Be honest to the moment and behave truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

The key is in prep. As a minimum you should: Learn your lines by Rote, breakdown the script, find the purpose of the scene to the story and what your character wants. Build the circumstances and the world. If it's a zoom audition, work out your online setup and check your camera angles (wide, mid, close-up).

Welcome Back: An Intermediate Monologue Night. Join us for a night of live theatre, welcoming our intermediate students back to the stage after a 2 year hiatus. Our Intermediate students, performing over two nights, will showcase a variety of monologues from modern and classic plays.

DATES: Thursday 28th July 2022 & Friday 29th July 2022
TIME: 7pm (doors shut 6:50pm)
ADDRESS: The Actors Pulse, 103 Regent Street Redfern, 2016.
DRESS CODE: Semi formal

The show will start at 7pm so please arrive at least 20 minutes before so we can get everyone seated. We are a 2 minute walk from Redfern station, or if you wish to drive, there is free street parking after 6pm in some of the surrounding streets. There is also a small car park on Cope Street, which is a few minutes' walk from the studio.

Dedicated to realism, our classes are based on the teachings of Sanford Meisner, the father of the Meisner Technique.
