Castle Hill RSL Pipe Band is a NSW Pipe Band that operates out of Epping. The Band performs in the ANZAC day parade at weddings, birthday parties, street marches and festivals, including a monthly Epping Scottish Society Social. You are able to book the Band through the Secretary (see contact informat

ion)

All members of the Band enjoy playing their instruments and entertaining the public. There is a mix of those who love competition and others who play socially. Either way, members of the band are brought together from a love and passion for music. There are opportunities, especially for young people, to excel in the piping and drumming community performances and competitions. The Band has a good number of pipers and drummers, but they are always on the lookout for new members. If you are interested in learning bagpipes or drums, then here is your chance to join the Band and learn in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. No experience is needed and learners can start from scratch and learn at minimal cost. Band practice is held weekly on a Thursday 7:30pm - 10pm
at Epping Creative Centre at 26 Stanley Rd, Epping.

Come and join us on Saturday 23rd December in Robertson from 6-9pm for a fantastic night of Scottish music and some fun games that only cost a few gold coins!

Friday is the last day to sign up for the Illawarra Scottish Fair contest. Prior to organising this event, the Illawarra Pipe Band asked for expressions of interest, receiving a substantial number of affirmative responses from various bands. Currently, however, only a limited few have officially booked in.

The sustainability of such events relies significantly on active community involvement. In the absence of substantial participation, event organisers find themselves contemplating the feasibility of future events.

If you can, please support the local bands and their events. Without you, there is no piping and drumming community.
