I don’t always get the time to take a picture of the dishes, so it was great to be able to take a couple lately.

I’m so truly overwhelmed with the support that this little business is getting and feeling very honored to hear of all the wonderful feedback and stories of how our weekly meals are helping so many in different ways.

I often get asked how and why I started the weekly meals so I thought today would be the perfect day to share.

A few years ago now, my amazing Dad was volunteering with an organisation to supply meals to our community, however my brother Jason would often say, “I mean these meals are great and all but surely people might want something a bit different from time to time, like how could they go past some of mums cooking!”. Whilst we completely appreciate what these organisations do, he did have a great point, our mum is an amazing cook and her food shouldn’t be kept just for us. So together we hatched a plan that we were going to really learn to cook and take mums recipes to start our own meal delivery hustle, hence our name MamaMe Catering. Sadly, prior to us launching operation “take over mums recipes and feed the people plan”, Jason unexpectedly passed away. It was a completely devastating time for our family, but whilst I sat with the idea I knew I still had to give it go, to honour my brothers generous and slightly cheeky soul. Hearing all the nice stories about people enjoying our mums recipes is exactly what Jason was talking about.

Today is so special because it’s our wonderful Mums Birthday, and this service wouldn’t be here without her recipes, mentoring and encouragement. Also a big shout out to my dad who spent many times running around picking things up for me, and keeping me grounded whilst I navigated this new challenge.

Most of all THANK YOU to each and every person who has either ordered once or weekly it’s been an absolute pleasure to be able to feed you and your loved ones.
