Hayley & Jake 💕 2.11.24

Hayley’s beautiful princess gown was made from Silk Mikado. Or should I say gowns. The full skirt detached to reveal a short party dress.

I struggled to get the overskirt to stay in place so ended up hand stitching it onto the waist seam with blue thread (Hayley’s fav colour) & it was then unpicked easily for the big reveal!

Carmen & Milva 💕 Mother & Daughter.

Milva wanted a mother of the bride dress that was comfortable & patterned. This beautiful silk satin fabric ticked all the boxes & she looked stunning.
Bridal gown made from Toscano satin & featured geometric lace. 💕

Carmen and Tom 💕 2.11.24

One of Carmen’s friends designed her dress & I bought it to life. Geometric lace featured on the bodice with high neck & cut out back. Lace also was used on the covered buttons.
Carmen initially didn’t want a train but we ultimately decided on a puddle train which she loved.

Klara 💚 Melbourne Cup Day

Channeling her inner Princess Margaret with this design!
Fitted dress with a cape that attached to the bodice with beautiful covered buttons.
Klara made Preliminary finals.

Sharon 🖤🤍 Derby Day

A special story behind Sharon’s cream outfit.
It was originally her mums wedding dress!
We detached the skirt but kept the shape similar to the original & used the delicate chiffon & satin from the bodice & made it into a blouse.
Looking gorgeous.

Jo 💕 Oaks Day

The brief for this was tulle & lots of it.
Jo’s beautiful fabric was purchased in Singapore & is a Liberty print made from a 1910 London wallpaper design.
Tulle peeked out from the skirt hemline & multiple layers were used in the sleeves.
Millinery by award winner topped off the whole look!

Stunning wet look satin fabric featured in Neva’s dress. Fully b***d bodice with a peplum filled with wadding.

Neva lives in Brisbane & fortunately I could do an in person fitting when I was up there in Sept for my daughters dancing. 💕

Shannara 💙 Birdcage Cup Day

Shan travelled from WA to attend the Cup yesterday & I made her dress remotely.

Her beautiful fabric was sourced in Melbourne by me & we then looked at multiple options of under fabrics to match it with. Choosing the blue made it pop the best!

Emma 💛🧡 Melbourne Cup Day

Emma’s outfit was made remotely & she came down from Longreach QLD to attend the her first Cup!

The dress & crop jacket was made from 6 bias cut skirts Emma loved the fabric on! This proved a little challenging to make but we got there!
