Hi 👋

It has been a very long time since we have shown our faces on here! But really, it's all about our beautiful food, so you don't need to see us too much 🤭

We are Fi (on the left) and Amber (on the right), the owners of Gather York.

After a whirlwind 4 years in small business trying out different things, we are now focusing on Wheatbelt Catering. Which is funnily enough closely linked to the reason why we joined forces to start Gather in the first place - our love for bringing friends and family together to share good food.

We love working with our clients to develop a delectable menu that suits their event - be it a birthday, wedding, girls dinner, sporting windup, or any other excuse to get together.

Exciting news! We are hosting our first Blue Light Disco for 2024 next Friday 8/3/2024 @ York CRC.

The theme is superhero’s in support of one very special little superhero in our community. Whilst fancy dress is encouraged, it is not essential. We will provide plenty of entertainment. Music, food, refreshments and fun!

We ask for a donation on entry - ALL funds raised go towards supporting Eliza’s Sparkle, assisting a local hero, 5 year old Eliza Reynolds and her family who are currently bravely fighting her recent diagnosis and battle against poorly differentiated Chordoma (an extremely rare skull base cancerous tumour).

A very worthwhile cause and one close to the hearts of many in our community. Please consider giving generously! Thanks to our event partners who have generously supported this event. If you have any questions please contact us directly through our FB page.

Well that's a wrap 🎁

We just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for being a part of our cafe family this year. You've made it truly special!

Now, it's time for us to take a breather and enjoy some holiday cheer with our loved ones. We'll be closed from today and back in action on January 31st. We can't wait to catch up and share more great times with you in the new year.

We will be open from 8:30am - 3pm. And if you have ordered Christmas Catering through us, this will be available to collect from 10am.

Make sure you visit us tomorrow for some last minute shopping, Gather chatter, pickup a loaf of local sourdough, and of course enjoy our popular bagels and iced coffees 🥯🧋

A couple weeks ago we celebrated 2023 with our Gather Team and what fun we had! We shared a delicious Gather meal under the stars (and Aurora Australis....which we all somehow missed!), enjoyed some fun games, and of course lots of laughs while at Amber & Chris’s house.

We have dusted off the Gather York aprons and launched our Spring '24 catering season with a trip to Cunderdin for the Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service dinner. As always, it was a pleasure collaborating with Remote Society to bring quality events to the region 🌾✨ Our menu featured: 🍴 Entree: Satay Chicken Skewers with Asian Slaw; Roast Pumpkin & Goats Cheese Tart with Zesty Side Salad 🍴 Main: Skin-on Seasoned Chicken Cutlet with a Roasted Tomato Compote; Eye Fillet Beef with Creamy Mushroom Sauce Looking forward to a season full of great food with fabulous Wheatbelt people!

Last night we prepared and delivered this anniversary meal to two York locals once their kids were asleep. This meant they didn’t need to find a babysitter, leave the house and find somewhere to eat— they got to shower, be comfortable, eat delicious food, and then play a round a monopoly deal before bed. Gathering Ingredients We Love

Gather York is your local specialty grocer, based in York WA. We source quality fresh produce, bread, olive oil, honey, specialty provisions, flowers and other kitchen goods so you can enjoy your favourite dish or try out that new recipe at home. Owned and operated by Amber and Fiona, two local women who love good food, cooking and catering for friends and family. Our focus is on local, Wheatbelt and WA produce. But we also source some really great stuff further afield that we know our customers will really enjoy. We love nothing better than telling our customers the story of the food they are purchasing, from paddock to plate. To make things easier for you, we have weekly dinner packs where we come up with a recipe, collect the ingredients and box it up for you to take home and cook for family and friends. We also handpick seasonal grocery boxes in a range of different sizes and varieties if you are unable to spend time in the shop. We love sourcing new products for customers, so if there is something you are after that we don’t have in stock, let us know and we will do our best to get it in. Holding special events, gathering with friends and taking time to enjoy the beautiful place we live are all activities that we enjoy most. Our Grazing platters and picnic hampers are available by order, just contact us and we will see what we can do.
