Do you know what's a Bajan Cutter? Barbados version of a Sandwich.
Cutter is a type of sandwich.
It begins with a Bajan salt bread....
no... the bread is not salty. But Its similar in texture and tatse to a bun, but with a light crust like exterior and a soft doughy interior. The salt bread is filled with some form of protein and dressings.

•The Ham cutter - thickly cut slices of picnic or leg ham.
Optional lettuce, Tomato and cheese.
My favorite location is Cherwin's on Beckles Road St. Michael.

• Next is the Fish cutter - either fried flying fish or fried steak fish topped with lettuce and tomato. OPTIONAL cheese!
My favorite place is the iconic Cuz Fish Cutters located at the Pebbles Beach Car Park on the south coast or Caboose in Speight owns on the west coast

• Then the Egg cutter - fried egg in a salt bread. optional cheese.

• So of course the next cutter is a Cheese cutter - slices of cheddar cheese in a salt bread. I just pop it in the microwave or toaster oven for a melted cheese cutter.... Hot sauce optional

• Next the Liver cutter - breaded and fried chicken livers in a salt bread. My trick is I buy liver from Granny's in Oistins... head over to Legendary Fish Cakes cross de road and buy a salt bread (dont forget to ask she to cut it for yuh) stuff that bad boy with Liver and boom. I got a Liver cutter.

• Speaking of Legendary Fish Cakes, the infamous Bread and Two - two Bajan fish cakes in salt bread.... You got it optional cheese.

• The Lamb Cutter - Fittingly found at Cutters at Savvy on the Bay , Carlisle Bay. I have never had such soft and succulent lamb in my life. Ask for hefty grizzle of their rum sauce. You will not regret it.
