Happy Birfday, 'merica? 🇺🇸. I'm celebrating today, but what? I've decided I'm celebrating the paradoxical nature of life. I'm celebrating that my partner became a US citizen two months before we cross the Atlantic ⛵ to begin our lives as expats. I'm celebrating the difficult conundrum of hating what this country can be and loving when she lives up to her potential. Where's NY at?!?!
This is what will allow me to appreciate the 🎇 fireworks tonight... Celebrating the fact that while life is strange and dark, and we're often wading through this miasmic WTF-ness, life is also full of light. 🗽

This Sunday I'm selling a few records at The Lot Radio record fair. Come Hang! This week I'll be posting some recs that you can take home.
I have two copies of this classic so one is for you! This is Billy Idol's early band, Generation X's debut and it kicks ass.
Dismissed by some in the hardcore scene this sound possibly gave way to SoCal's skate punk sound. If you like the Go-Gos this is one for you, too.
It goes for around $30 I'm selling my copy for half that because it has seen some love when it was on heavy rotation at LIT bar in the LES circa 2002. My fav song to play was their cover of John Lennon's "Gimme' Some Truth."

I've officially begun my 2021 resolution to refine my record collection. Rather than do the discogs thing, my plan is to go by my friends' record stores and drop them there.
These are at Captured Tracks in Greenpoint under the care of my fellow vinyl sister, Barbie Bertisch. I've gone through my Rock A's & B's and sold some that I've had since the early 90s . All B's for Barbie. Bye bye, babies.
Wees de eerste die het weet en laat ons u een e-mail sturen wanneer Christine Renée nieuws en promoties plaatst. Uw e-mailadres wordt niet voor andere doeleinden gebruikt en u kunt zich op elk gewenst moment afmelden.

Four Years ago Lloyd asked me to play for his Dinner with Lloyd show. I did a three hour set, wore a yellow, vintage ellesse jogging set (ironically picked up in Belgium), and thus began a "season" of many shows and lots of music.
I will die grateful to the Lot team for the platform they've given me and how they've united our community of music lovers.
So... Happy Anniversary to The LOT!! Can't wait to celebrate with everyone Saturday. Friday 4-6pm will be my 4 year anniversary show and the 106th to date. Come by! And... Thanks for listening!!!

“Music, especially in dance music culture, has been the only place in the occidental world where we have a ritual; we have a tribe of people from all different backgrounds and sexual identities coming together on the dance floor, where everything drops, and it’s just that synchronized movement and thought and beauty that comes through dancing. ” CR - Nylon Mag
