Hot off the presses! We’re looking to hire a couple of dependable individuals, on a casual basis ($20/hour), who live in the Halifax Regional Municipality area.

The position involves a commitment to work on our production line every Thursday - it requires the physical ability/stamina to stand/move around during a 7-hour period (with a lunch break), and to lift boxes that are no more than 20 lbs..

You must be able to commute to our production facility (located in Burnside near Dartmouth Crossing) that has free parking.

is seeking to fill the position of:

CEMETERY SUPERINTENDENT & GROUNDSKEEPER.

Are you seeking an employment position where you can use your excellent organizational and communication skills operating a large cemetery while dealing with parish staff, the general public, grieving families, funeral home personnel, and contractors? Do you like to do physical work outdoors as well as do office tasks? Do you have the abilities to manage a large cemetery including its regular maintenance, booking and facilitating interments and committals, burial lot and niche sales, staff supervision, and other related duties? If you have an understanding of the dynamics of cemetery operations, grounds maintenance and equipment, the aptitude to decipher old cemetery records and locate burial lots, ease of use with common desktop word processing and spreadsheet software, the aptitude to adapt, learn and be proficient quickly, and the ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, we would like to hear from you.

This is a year-round salaried position: full-time in the spring to fall months ~ 32 weeks @ 37.5 hours per week plus part-time in the winter months ~ 20 weeks @ an average of 12 hours per week.
