Let’s be honest, we love everything about arches. The statement, the drama, the flowers (especially the flowers)!

This arch, in particular, is one of our favourites because of the mountain shape and the unique texture brought with her amazing macramé. It complemented the flowers so perfectly.

An arch should be reflective of the overall personality of the couple and the wedding itself, and we love how many options there are to add that extra bit of “wow” 🖤

Brad and I planted close to 1,500 tulips in our backyard this morning. That’s in addition to the roughly 2,500 tulips we already have planted in crates in our cooler, all tucked in and ready for next year.

If you’d asked me a couple years ago whether we’d be growing anywhere near that many tulips, I’d have laughed! It’s an insane number for just one type of flower, but it also means we can start designing with our own flowers potentially as early as February!

As we enter the quiet months of winter, I am already looking forward to when we’ll have flowers again 🌷

The season might be over at the farm but this is only the beginning.

This year ended no where near where we expected it to. We started the season expecting to grow solely out of our home in NW Calgary. Late spring we got the opportunity to rent a small piece of land from a couple who have become like family. Now we are expanding from 5x 75ft beds to a full section of area we can design and grow thousands of blooms on next year.

We can’t wait to see where next year will take us; wholesale? Direct to florist? More markets? Expanding our website offerings? More weddings? Only time will tell! But with the amazing support of the people around us, the sky is the limit.

It’s hard to believe that today is the last day of summer! The past few weeks have been some of the most gruelling, exhausting weeks I’ve had in a while; having a full time day job and a full wedding schedule and a farm to maintain is no joke! 👩🏼‍⚖️👩🏼‍🌾

But even though it’s been stressful at times, it’s also been incredible, glorious, exciting, emotionally moving, and creatively fulfilling in ways I didn’t expect 🌸

Our wedding season isn’t over, but as we move into fall I just want to take a moment of gratitude for every drop of positivity, love, and happiness this summer has given me 🥰
