Learned a new very old skill yesterday taught by 💙 Roosimine is a traditional Estonian knitting inlay technique that I have seen (and worn) on so many garments and always was in awe of.

In the class we kept saying "it's like wizardry!" And it truly is! It's so magical to see the stitches come to life on your work and it so much easier than I thought!

I can't wait to test this new technique out on future projects 😍

Finally getting around to sharing my finished Meshy Tank Top by .crochet ! 🌸

I used Koigu Jasmine 100% merino DK yarn in J882B (which shows so nicely in the ribbed section) and J0000.

I am in love with how it fits, which makes sense since the pattern is made to measure. I would love to make this in every colour for my summer wardrobe ☀️

Learned some crochet shaping last night starting work on my Meshy Tank Top by .crochet 🌱

I'm making this top to teach me some shaping basics so that I can (hopefully) design my own dress for a wedding I'm going to later this year in Mexico! Taking notes so I can replicate what I've done properly.

So far having a great time and can't wait to learn more new techniques as I go with this top ☺️

Went for a crafty lunch date yesterday with my very crafty and talented mum 💖

Growing up, she would always knit/crochet us ponchos, scarves, and blankets and sew all of my sister's and my Halloween costumes and prom dresses. So much inspiration and knowledge from her!!

Lots of chats and project planning took place 😊 oh and a little yarn balling too 🧶

in Waterloo is the perfect sunny spot with local beers, tasty sandwiches etc ✨️

HUGE hat making update!!! 🌷

Hehe just kidding this is all I have managed to learn and get done so far on my Scrappy Cappy designed by

Tiny yarn, double pointed needles, shaping and modular knitting are all new to me so this has been very slow going (this is about 3 nights of progress) but it's satisfying to see it actually shaping up! 🥰

Fresh project hitting the needles this week! ✨️

I bought my first pair of double pointed needles to make the Scrappy Cappy by out of a paint can

This will be my first time making something with DPNs and my first try doing more complicated modular knitting so wish me luck!

This was such a happy project to whip up over the past week, I just finished the sleeves last night

I followed 's YouTube tutorial for her Lacery Crochet Bolero and it's fully customizable to make it fit exactly how you want it! So fun!

Yellow main colour thrifted (wool blend?)

Can't wait to add some sunshine to any outfit from now on 😍

I learned how to crochet letters this weekend to make my nephew a name garland for his bedroom door 🥰 he just turned one 🥹

Thinking I might make an upgraded puffy/stuffed version soon to make it hold its shape better but this one is cute for now 😊

I knit my best friend a vest! ❤️ (you might call her my vest friend??)

This project taught me so many new little techniques I hadn't tried before and was my very first time holding together 2 kinds of yarn! I've only ever followed like 2 or 3 knitting patterns before this, so that was also interesting. I realized I was twisting my purled stitches halfway through the project, but what can ya do, adds some texture 😅
