Miztik Animals was founded with the intention to educate people about reptiles and exotic animals, but also conservation, proper husbandry, and much more. Had an absolutely amazing time meeting this weekend at ! This man is a true inspiration for how to socialize reptiles. His work with crocodile monitors is FASCINATING, and his knowledge and experience with venomous snakes is nearly unmatched. I'm just so happy I got the chance to meet him! 🔥

Met emus for the first time for our last video! 🐦✨ These magnificent birds are so curious and friendly. It was an unforgettable experience getting up close with them. Nature never ceases to amaze!

Upgrading our enclosures is always one of our favorite parts of this hobby. Being able to provide even more for an animal we already spoil is truly a privilege.

It's amazing to go above and beyond for them and see the new experiences it opens up!

TORTOISE APPRECIATION POST!! 🐢

Tortoises are a sub-group of turtles. They live on land, and they grow to be MASSIVE! But many don't know that they are Archosaurs, closely related to Crocodilians and Dinosaurs! (including birds)

They evolved about 230 million years ago, in the Triassic period, 153 million years before the T-Rex, and are some of the last living vertebrate artifacts of their time!

Shown here is a baby Sulcata Tortoise, compared to a 13 year old Cherry Head Tortoise, a truly stunning example of their abilities to grow, as one day this exact ratio will be flipped & the Cherry Head will look tiny next to the Sulcata!

Let's be honest, who doesn't like tortoises? 🤔🐢

Thank you all SO much for all your support recently! 🙏🙌 We are now 3/4 of the way towards getting into the Partner program & once that happens, the value of the videos is gonna SKYROCKET! 🚀 If you're not currently subscribed to our YouTube channel, it would really help us out. Also, as some of you are aware now with this week's video, we are KNEE DEEP in a project that is currently taking so much time and effort. I like to call it the beginning of Phase 2, if you all recall, Phase 1 was moving into the new place & getting everything set up & running well! Now that it's good, we're headed into UPGRADE time! 🔥🔥
