Taking this weekend for myself was exactly what I needed. Family, friends, food, health, home and healing. I’ve got some really exciting things lined up for April and May to keep me busy. Tonight’s meeting with was excellent. It was the first I’ve been to as a new member. It was the kind when at the end, it’s not that there aren’t questions, but that you can hear everyone’s brains whirring in the silence trying to process the quantity and quality of information provided over 45 minutes. And I 👏 am 👏 here 👏for👏 it👏. As always, highly recommend joining your local horticultural clubs. Education, entertainment, great people. The dahlia tuber sale is coming up in April and you must be a member THIS WEEK for EARLY ACCESS.

Groups you can look into joining: gardening club AND if you subscribe to my newsletter I will keep you posted for any of my free upcoming zoom classes talking about native species, indoor seed starting, and container gardener for small spaces.

You will be able to pickup the weekend of March 23 (one weekend before Easter) in Grimsby (and Stoney Creek if demand requires). Pick up location details to be announced. These very special Easter Lilies are grown locally by .hill.greenhouses who you may recall suddenly found themselves with a surplus of thousands of Easter lilies in March 2020 and kindly shared them with the public free of charge. For me, the best way to “grow where I’m planted”, has been volunteering with organizations that speak to me and do important work locally. It gives me a sense of deepening my roots here in the community. I’m excitedly working away on something big. How do you grow where you are planted?

Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you. We made quite the team over here. From my eldest daughter who took it upon herself to become super sweeper keeper of my space when she saw how busy I was and how I dropped pieces of discarded flowers on the floor when I worked, to my youngest who so badly wanted a job too that I couldn’t say no. To my husband who told ALL his friends, and took extra above and beyond care of the children so I could design that one more extra bouquet, and fed me. (He does this a lot anyways but more so this week). But most especially to you. For placing orders, ordering in advance. Arranging pick ups and deliveries. Helping me avoid credit administration fees. All of it. And it meant so much to us. You are the absolute best people.
