Another layer of fresh snow yesterday to keep the perennials outside happy and insulated. Inside I have some plants started - delphiniums, yarrow, milkweed, eucalyptus, lupins, rudbeckia and a lot more to start soon!

Finished fall cleanup in the cutting garden this afternoon! Everything has been cut down, weeded, fresh compost on all the beds and it’s all rototilled in and ready for next year.
It’s been so nice to have such beautiful weather to work in! 🍃 ☀️

Flowers for a lovely bride and her 5 bridesmaids today.
Saying yes to doing a wedding is something I honestly never thought I’d do but I’m happy I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone. I love how they turned out!

Happy to be close to done! 1 row of sunflowers to direct sow yet and possibly 1 bed to replant that may have drowned with all the rain.

Enjoying the last of the tulips for this year 😍😍 I cleared out the tulip bed this morning, prepped the soil and am hoping to plant some annuals in their place this afternoon.

Moved this old granary from one quarter to our home place today. So excited for its charm and potential as a flower stand 😍 It needs some love but I’m looking forward to sprucing it up!

Today I finally found my gardening notebook from the past 2 years back! I couldn’t remember what peonies I had all planted in 2018 & 2019 and now I know. These 4 rows are home to almost 100 peony plants and 19 different varieties! I’m excited for them to start popping out of the ground soon (ish) and for the beautiful blooms in a few months!

We added another shelf and lights this weekend so there’s room for another 20+ trays which makes me happy!
Currently growing are Eucalyptus, Globe Thistle, Carnations, Snapdragons, Stock, Delphiniums, Foxglove and a few Tweedia & Yarrow. I am fortunate to have an empty room above the garage with a big window & heated floors that can act as a big heat mat to start plants on. It’s so nice to be able to stay in the house with the kids but still keep an eye on the seedlings 😊
