Pender Harbour May Day is the longest running event on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Now in it's 79th year!
Shout out to our wonderful food vendors who kept the masses satiated on such a big day! You all knocked it out of the park and some of us are still dreaming of ice cream, hot mini donuts, flavourful perogies and samosas, tacos and.... and... wait now we're hungry again. Thanks all!!

A big May Day thank you to our pinch hitter face painter Bree, who crushed it! Also a special shout out to all the dedicated parents who waited in line. We loved seeing all those happily painted faces throughout the day, thank you for your patience.

This year's parade was SO good, thank you to everyone who came out! From classic cars to hula-hooping, Patti in a cannon to flipping gymnasts, the royal float and so many great costumes, we couldn't be more proud of this community ๐

SEE YOU SATURDAY!๐คก๐ช Here are some important 'need to knows' for the day:
- BRING CASH. There is a limited amount of cash available at Sunshine Coast Credit Union in Madeira Park and some vendors/activities are cash only.
- BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE. Thank you to Noah's Premium Bottled Water for providing us with water for the event. In the effort to keep waste to a minimum for water and beverage cups, please bring your own cups or bottles (be sure to mark with your name also!)
- BRING SUNSCREEN & A HAT. The weather is looking partly sunny, and while it won't be as hot as last year you will still need these.
- MAKE A PLAN. We often see lost children or people who can't find their group. Decide on a meeting spot so you can regroup.
- ARRIVE EARLY. Vendor and food items may sell out, line ups form quickly. Get there early to enjoy everything the day has to offer!
- CAR POOL. There is limited parking in Madeira. There will be a shuttle leaving from the PH Health Centre regularly through the morning and afternoon.

This is the Sunshine Coast's premiere party band. They will be performing throughout the day on May Day, catch them on the main stage (near the beer garden of course) from 12-4PM playing all your fave rock and pop hits.
