The MAGIC Festival is coming to a close with THIRTEEN shows having been performed and more than half sold out. The ones that didn't sell out had only a handful of tickets available! This proves people want to see magic and I plan to produce the festival again next year.

This could not have been possible without the help of those that Produced the shows. I would like to thank Alex Zander and Billy Hsueh for the Cabaret of Wonders, Graham Kita for the Magic, Mystery, and Dinner show, Chris Yuill, Lon Mandrake and the SAM members for the Evening of Magic, Rob Teszka for the Cocktail Magic show, and Rod Boss for the Children's Magician of the Year competition. Close to a thousand people came to New Westminster to experience magic. Next year will more than double that number and continue to grow as the years go by.

I'd also like to thank folks like Tourism New Westminster, the New Westminster DBI, Theresa McManus and the New West Record, New West Anchor, Vancouver is Awesome, BC's Guide to Arts and Culture, Miss 604, and all the others who shone some light on our little festival.

Finally the venue sponsors, because without them this would not happen! Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, The Metro Hall, Stefano's Lounge and Restaurant, and The Flapper Lounge.

The MAGIC Festival starts today with a sold out showing of 52 & You, followed by a sold out showing of Cabaret of Wonders, then a sold out show of Jay Alexander at Stefanos Restaurant and Lounge. There's still a few tickets fo the SAM #95 show at Rick Bronson's House of Comedy BC, but it's sure to sell out as well. We just added more tickets to Rob Teszka's The Parlour Magic Show presents: Cocktail Magic! at The Metro Hall since they were about to sell out too. Finally we have some tickets available for the Vancouver Magic Circle, IBM Ring #92 show/contest for the Children's Magician of the Year, which is also generously hosted by House of Comedy BC as well. We are so thankful to the locals, businesses, and groups like Tourism New Westminster, Downtown New Westminster, the New West Record who recognized that our festival is something needed in our community.
