Danika and Yanick’s intimate ceremony at the Ottawa Arboretum was filled with heart, meaning, and personalization. On the smaller size, it was grand on personal touches. They wrote their own vows; we shared their love story; and Danika’s father, Raymond, led a beautiful Indigenous gathering ritual. He also surprised Yanick with a Métis sash to officially welcome him into the family! And yes, we even sprinkled in some French, to honour Yanick's culture!
