We're the community hub for Powassan; housing municipal offices & plenty of meeting & event spaces

250 Clark is our municipally-owned Community Hub and hosts a huge variety of community events- fitness classes, youth sports and recreation, dance classes, dramatic arts, french classes, yoga, sewing/quilting and more! It is home to a Fitness Centre, gymnasium, Powassan and District Food Bank, Grace House (second hand clothing shop), Almaguin Adult Learning Center, and the municipal offices. We have meeting rooms available to rent for various sized groups.

No, we are not offering pole dancing classes! Mike Lawrence (Lawrence Electrical Services INC) was in today putting new pot lights in the fitness centre and an electrical conduit pole for the treadmills! Much safer for everyone. Thanks, Mike.

Free community dinner at the Powassan Wesleyan Church this Thursday!

Our next FREE Community Dinner is this Thursday, November 7th, at 6 pm at Powassan Wesleyan Church, 204 Big Bend Avenue, Powassan.

What better way to fight off the temperamental weather of fall (cold, rainy, snowy, windy) than with soup and sandwiches? Of course, we will also have goodies, tea/coffee, and pop/juices or water.

You'll find great people to sit and eat with that will provide interesting conversations and companionship against an otherwise cool and chilly night. Please come join us - one and all - everyone is welcome. Another great get-together is on its way!

Special Hallowe’en “Time to Howl” dance today!

Our fledgling Ukulele Club (“PUGS”- Powassan Ukulele Club) is going strong every Tuesday at 10am. We still have room for more, so join us!

The Revue are really good!

Hallowe'en Dance THIS Saturday at the Sportsplex! Be there or be square! Doors open 6pm. The Revue starts to play at 7pm!

Something spooky, something fun! And in support of kids’ programs. Come to the Hallowe’en Dance this Saturday at Powassan Sportsplex. Doors open 6pm. Cash bar. The Revue plays 7-11pm. GREAT music! Advance tickets at Powassan Home Hardware, municipal office, or Trout Creek General Store. Thanks Carriage House Market, Powassan Home Hardware, and North Bay Battalions for the costume prizes!

Tickets now available at Powassan Home Hardware, the municipal office and Trout Creek General Store. Dance is happening Saturday October 26 at the Powassan Sportsplex and The Revue is playing! The music will be epic. Prizes for costumes. Doors open 6pm. The Revue starts at 7. Don’t miss this.
