It’s just a fact, lighting is ✨everything✨

This is a photo of the reel I posted the other day. That reel was taken while dark outside, with no natural light available 🤢

This photo was taken during the day with some natural light available from the window.

Personally I think this photo looks 10x better than the reel as this photo more accurately shows what my displays normally look like on an event space! (The spare bedroom can only do so much!😂)

It’s taken a while for me to do this thing but think it’s time for me to formally introduce myself! Heyyyy🤠👋

I’m Rachel! Here are some things about me and how .celebrations.co came to be🫶

1. I’m a 23 year old living in a 27 year olds body (I’m 27😂)
2. I am originally from Caistor Centre, Ontario (NO not Toronto, think small country town where you get stuck behind tractors on your way to work)
3. I have a diploma in Recreation and Leisure studies, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Recreation, majoring in Community Recreation 🤓📚
4. In March of 2022 I decided to pick up my entire life and move to New Brunswick for a maternity leave position in a long term care home, not knowing what my future would look like AT ALL😂
5. I now work full time as the Recreation Therapist in that same long term care home planning programming and activities for the people that live there. Most of the residents deal with dementia and mobility issues. 👴👵 I LOVE my job!! Although challenging at times, I love being able to bring joy into my residents lives🫶
6. I wanted an opportunity to meet new friends, bring joy to others, and learn a new skill. That’s how Confetti Celebrations Co came to be! Some of my fondest memories include balloons, and I wanted to create a service providing that feeling for others
7. I bought a house and moved in October of 2022. I live here now with my boyfriend, 2 dogs, a cat and a bunny! I run CCC out of my spare bedroom😂

Remember that Barbie pink garland I posted the other day with flowers all over it? Yeah, I ended up hating it. So here it is now💅🏻

As a small business owner, it’s okay to make a mistake or realize “I don’t actually like the way that looks.” This is why I enjoy fiddling around with balloons!

As a balloon artist, stylist, or my favourite name, “balloon lady,” you have to find your own personal style! I have just realized that mine doesn’t include dollarama flowers😂

For this set up, I used dollar store balloons! That’s right, dollar store balloons🎈

Although these balloons will most likely deflate over the weekend & I will stick to using balloons, this is proof that you don’t always need to have the fanciest balloons to make something look nice!
