We offer indoor and outdoor archery opportunities as well as an indoor range for rifle, pistol and pcc use. The Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club was incorporated in 1957 by a group of conservation minded outdoorsmen in the White Rock, Surrey and Langley area. The primary focus of the group was the restoration of the local Little Campbell River that had been severely damaged by years of unregulated grave

l removal in the watershed. For the next 23 years club volunteers not only worked to restore the river and its tributaries but also raised funds with the vision of acquiring land on their beloved river. In 1979 the ideal piece of land on the banks of the Little Campbell River became available. Unfortunately, acquisition of the 29 acre portion of the property sought by the club was conditional on the purchase of a larger 40 acre adjoining piece of pastureland. Despite the high cost of the combined property the club proceeded with the purchase – leaning heavily on the financial support of several club members. Four members mortgaged their homes and several others floated demand loans to meet the price of the property. Within 6 months the unwanted 40 acre portion was sold at a small profit and within 5 years all loans were repaid. Finally the club fulfilled its vision of being a landowner on the banks of the Little Campbell River in the Hazelmere Valley. Over the next 15 years volunteer club members built one of the finest facilities in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. In the beginning it was necessary to build an access road into the property and a heavy load bridge across the river. This was followed in 1984 by the construction of the first all volunteer hatchery in the province that including the drilling of a deep well and the building of an extensive water filtration facility. An innovative fish fence was also designed and built by a club member - a design that was endorsed by the Department of Fisheries as the standard for future hatcheries in the province. A nature trail in the forested portion of the property, a favorite of thousands of visitors, was also completed during this period. In 1994, with the assistance of the local Lions club and countless fund raising events, the club volunteers once again stepped up to construct a large Education/Club House building on the south bank of the river opposite the hatchery. This excellent facility also included a combined archery, 22 rifle and handgun range in the basement. Today over 7,000 people visit the club grounds annually to tour the hatchery and the nature trail; participate in range activities or attend functions in the main hall.

Fabulous photo!

This Salmon's grand attempt to jump up the waterfall in the Sol Duc River was hindered by a slight miscalculation, causing it to momentarily get stuck on a rock.

In this moment I was about 10 ft across the river, squatting uncomfortably on a boulder holding my camera with the big attached lens to my eye, trying to click the shutter as fast as the quick shutter release allows so that I could capture every movement the fish made in this instance 📸

The thing that I love the most about this photo, apart from the determination in the salmon's face, or the water splashing from the motion of it's tail whipping the water, is that you can clearly see the reflection of the blue sky and trees lining the river in the body of the fish 🤯😍

I didn't even notice those little details until a friend pointed it out when I showed her the photo. Which gets me thinking about how incredible this tool I have in my hand really is, to be able to freeze a moment in time and examine it in such incredible detail perpetually.

I always have a part of me that's pushing back, saying "just take a video it'll be easier" but as a very wise man, who we can honor on his late birthday today once said; "I'm not a great believer in the power of the moving image. A still image has GREATER lasting power"- Eddie Adams

Salmon Sessions Music Festival would not be possible without the help of our supporters! Many thanks to the Government of British Columbia, one of our Coho sponsors! (Hint: all of our sponsorship tiers are named after different types of salmon!)

Hello Everyone
so we are hosting our May 3d Archery shoot on May 4/5 and we need your help.

The 3d archery shoot brings in good money for the club and without the help of our club members we can not make them possible.
What we need is a group of people on Friday May 3 to help get the course all set up.
We also need a few people to set up the hall for the shoot .
Any small amount of time you can spare is always great .

Then Saturday and Sunday I am looking for people to help run the shoot .
I need people to help out at the registration desk. ( this job is selling the shoot cards and selling the food)
I also need people to help in the kitchen taking care of the food orders and someone who likes to BBQ .
So the shoot starts at 8 am and ends around 3:30 ish and food prep starts around 9:30 ish
so if you can help with any of this please let me know .
Any Help and amount of time is great .
Also Sunday we need to take everything down . I need a team of people to remove the targets and backboard from the forest which starts at 3:30 .

So if you can help even for an hour please let me know . Drop me an email
