What a wonderful day!!

Chefs Catering Co in collaboration with our amazing clients have finally begun hiring for our new social enterprise aiming to hire newcomers to Canada seeking shelter and provide them training, guidance and more importantly, well-paying jobs to help turn things around.

Today we had the privilege to meet 50+ wonderful people all looking to contribute to our economy through hard work. Every single one of them had one common goal, which is to not be a burden, to work very hard and to help their families succeed in this new country.

The food service business has definitely been built on the hard work of new immigrants. Our founder Peter Siklis was one of them. Same story - came with nothing, worked all the jobs that nobody wanted and grew our business in to a multigenerational example of the immigrant dream

Along with we aim to make this one of the largest and most sustainable social food enterprises in Canada.

So many thanks to the wonderful people at COSTI and all of the Chefs catering team. One of the great highlights of the day was when a rising star within our organization Mo made a speec highlighting where he came from and how this opportunity has changed his life. Please listen to it. This young man is going to special places.

It was beautifully humbling, and something that we are all very proud to be a part of!

Today was a happy day dropping off 100 beautiful turkeys to the amazing group . These 100% halal young turkeys will feed about 1000 people.

Bluffs Food Bank is feeding 350 families per week and is 100% volunteer run…not one paid salary. These folks run truly on the kindness of their hearts.

If you can please drop off something to them…literally everything you bring goes directly to the folks who need it most.

The cooler weather is setting in and these those chilly days nothing warms you better than a nice hearty stew.

One of the best we’ve had is from our Executive Catering Chef Zibby. Zibby has added the flavours of Eastern Europe along with prime Canadian Beef and seasonal vegetables to create a warm and comforting dish that will surely satisfy.

The entire Chefs Catering family are super proud of our ever energentic President Oskar Andersen and all of his team mates for absolutely crushing and winning the run to Montreal marathon last week.

641 km in two days is a tremendous accomplishment! Running from downtown Toronto to the top of Mount Royal…WOW!!

watching you train over the last year for this race was something we are all amazed by.

You truly applied the same principles of dedication and persistence that you do in running our business every day.

Way to go!!!!!

Last night was very special.

The undeniably unstoppable force that is Lana Duke (the owner of Ruth’s Chris) presented our Founder Justin Siklis with his own table and plaque at her wonderful downtown Toronto location.

The night was spent talking about how the company was founded and countless unbelievably beautiful stories around female entrepreneurship and growth through good business practices.

These two folks came together really through their love of philanthropy and always giving back to the community. You can bet that some very special things are currently being planned for this coming holiday season that we are extremely excited to announce soon.

For now anybody wanting the best steak in the city with some of that famous New Orleans Sizzle please head on down…ask for the Siklis table. Tag both and and we will make a 25$ donation to our amazing friends !
