Our page exists to communicate with our members and friends and to promote our activities in the community. Anna Hengsperger – 905-735-0959.

Everyone is welcome to post comments, however posts which can be considered argumentative or divisive in anyway will be removed and posters will be blocked if necessary. Our Association’s goal is to promote our Hungarian Heritage and our ancestral beginnings and to provide a “home”, a place for our members and friends to meet

Our members enjoy Friday night Social nights and also actively support

our numerous events throughout the year, such as our March 15th Commemorative Program, our annual Mother's Day Brunch and Memorial Day celebration in May. The Family Summer picnic in July, our Family Christmas party, as well as our annual New Year's Eve Gala, are traditional favorites. We also host the Welland Hungarian Hunting and Fishing Club meetings for their approx. 55 members, along with their annual Gala event “The Vadász Bál” held each November. We also have an active Senior's club with approx. 45-50 members and they have social activities every Thursday. The Hall is also available for Weddings, Showers, Banquets, Anniversary Parties, Christmas Parties and funeral luncheons. For any rental inquiries, please contact Mrs.

We will also host the young Hungarian athletes here competing at the Rowing Championships at the Royal Henley rowing course in St. Catharines, at the Hungarian Hall afterwards.

Fájó szívvel tudatjuk hogy Hegedus, István elhunyt. A Wellandi Magyar Önképzökörnak szeretett tagja volt. Nagyon fog hiányozni mindazoknak, akik ismerték. Őszinte részvétünk a gyászoló családnak. 😪🙏✝️

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Steve Hegedus. He was a beloved member of the Welland Hungarian Hall for many years, and will be missed by all those who knew him. Our deepest condolences to the grieving family.

Excellent “Retro Dance Party” at the Welland Hungarian Hall tonight. Jager Gyula did an awesome job, bringing lots of energy and putting smiles on everyone’s face as they rocked the dance floor. Great fun and delicious buffet dinner. 💃🕺🏻🎤🎶

Tonight we were treated to the beautiful smooth voice 🎤of Attila Zsapka and his talented guitar playing 🎸🎶 as he demonstrated his creativity for turning poetry into songs. He entertained us with music from the 1956 era along with some fun and familiar songs the audience could sing along. Attila was an absolute pleasure to listen to and we are so grateful that we were included on his tour as his final stop before he headed back to Hungary with his family. Thank you from you friends at the Welland Hungarian Hall, Canada. 🇨🇦 Thanks as well to Zsolt Bede-Fazekas for organizing this fantastic tour. Wishing you safe travels and we hope you’ll be back! ❤️🎶🇭🇺🎶❤️

Our Story

We're currently trying hard to rebuild Youth and Family interest in our Society in order to help preserve our Hungarian Heritage and to teach those about their ancestral beginnings and for the Hall itself to continue to be a beacon in our community. Our members enjoy Friday night Social nights and also actively support our numerous events throughout the year, such as our March 15th Commemorative Program, our annual Mother's Day Brunch and Memorial Day celebration in May. The Family Summer picnic in July, our Harvest Ball in September, our Family Christmas party and as well as our annual New Year's Eve Gala, are all traditional favorites.

We also host the Welland Hungarian Hunting and Fishing Club meetings, along with their annual Gala event “The Vadász Bál” held each November. We have an active Senior's Bingo Club and they have social activities every Thursday. And we now also have an Embroidery / Handwork Club ( Hímzés és kézműves klub) who are beginning Sept. 7th, also meeting on Friday nights.

There are also 3 General Membership meetings held throughout the year. The Hall is also available for Weddings, Showers, Banquets, Anniversary Parties, Christmas Parties and Funeral Luncheons.
