Hungarian Self Culture Society of Welland Our page exists to communicate with our members and friends and to promote our activities in the community.

Everyone is welcome to post comments, however posts which can be considered argumentative or divisive in anyway will be removed and posters will be blocked if necessary. Our Association’s goal is to promote our Hungarian Heritage and our ancestral beginnings and to provide a "home", a place for our members and friends to meet

Our members enjoy Friday night Social nights and also actively support

our numerous events throughout the year, such as our March 15th Commemorative Program, our annual Mother's Day Brunch and Memorial Day celebration in May. The Family Summer picnic in July, our Family Christmas party, as well as our annual New Year's Eve Gala, are traditional favorites. We also host the Welland Hungarian Hunting and Fishing Club meetings for their approx. 55 members, along with their annual Gala event "The Vadász Bál" held each November. We also have an active Senior's club and they have social activities every Thursday. The Hall is also available for Weddings, Showers, Banquets, Anniversary Parties, Christmas Parties and funeral luncheons. For rental inquiries please visit our website wellandhungarianhall.ca

Our Story

We're currently trying hard to rebuild Youth and Family interest in our Society in order to help preserve our Hungarian Heritage and to teach those about their ancestral beginnings and for the Hall itself to continue to be a beacon in our community. Our members enjoy Friday night Social nights and also actively support our numerous events throughout the year, such as our March 15th Commemorative Program, our annual Mother's Day Brunch and Memorial Day celebration in May. The Family Summer picnic in July, our Harvest Ball in September, our Family Christmas party and as well as our annual New Year's Eve Gala, are all traditional favorites.

We also host the Welland Hungarian Hunting and Fishing Club meetings, along with their annual Gala event “The Vadász Bál” held each November. We have an active Senior's Bingo Club and they have social activities every Thursday. And we now also have an Embroidery / Handwork Club ( Hímzés és kézműves klub) who are beginning Sept. 7th, also meeting on Friday nights.

There are also 3 General Membership meetings held throughout the year. The Hall is also available for Weddings, Showers, Banquets, Anniversary Parties, Christmas Parties and Funeral Luncheons.
