I’m sure any face painters can relate that this is the most nerve-wracking part of Face painting. I love painting, but there are definitely kids from time to time who I don’t like what you put on their face. Sometimes I can understand their disappointment, but other times I’m left baffled and confused. I remember one little boy who wanted to be a robot. I thought he was awesome, his sister thought he was awesome, and his mom thought he was awesome. But when he looked in the mirror immediately burst into tears (destroying the Face Paint in the process). Many confusing questions later we discovered he wanted red robot buttons and not blue robot buttons. You win some, you lose some, but luckily, most of them are wins. (FYI – this little boy loved his Winnipeg Jets logo, and the sister peering over his shoulder, roared in approval at her golden teddy bear face.)
