I usually do a mid season update, little late this year. We're in a constantly changing environment in motorsports worldwide, most noteable in terms of participation. Memberships are higher this year, but most appear to be coming less frequently as in years past. This has resulted in a slight deficit for MBGP. I spoke with everyone I could last weekend and you were all very understanding, thank you so much.

To ensure we can keep running every Saturday and every 2nd Sunday until the end of this season, we're going to bump entry fees up slightly to $35 and the maximum family rate to $80 starting this Saturday. Sundays will be the same pricing as Saturday for March. This should bring the books back into balance by the end of the season given the average turnout per weekend.

It was always a tough plan to book every weekend all winter, but because of your love for the sport it has been possible for these past 3 years and I thank everyone who supported and continues to support.

Season opener Double Header Dec 8 and Dec9
Saturday 7:30am to 10:30am
Sunday 8:30am to 11:30am
Memberships are required and available starting Saturday morning at registration

MBGP would like to acknowledge the massive efforts put in by Briget in the past weeks, this could not have happened without her and Mark's continued devotion to motorsports in Manitoba. True superstars 🤩 THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Season update - Season opener postponed
The recent update to specific text on the insurance certificate requested by Speedworld's insurer, has not been ratified as of today so we unfortunately have to cancel this weekend's double header. 😞

Season Update - This weekend's event is still tentative. Received a new request from Speedworld this morning for more alterations to the legal docs and requirements to make this happen. The request has to be approved by a few links in the chain, then forwarded back to Speedworld to go through their chain. Needless to say the process takes time and we can't yet say it will be ratified in time for this weekend.

Season Update - Speedworld and MBGP have reached a contract agreement for the 2018/19 season 😀👌
Mark and Briget are away on holiday this weekend so if everything goes as planned, we'll run our season opener Dec 1 and 2. Final update early next week.

Season update - Hoping to now begin the season Nov. 24
We found a solution for the waiver of subrogation but as of yesterday, Speedworld has requested some new contractual obligations be added to our leasing agreement. These will take a little time to negotiate so we won't be able to make our intended start date that was this weekend.

We're still aiming to fire up the season very soon in November 👍 Our insurance carrier and Speedworld's insurance carrier are currently debating some new language and requirements that were introduced recently. Stay tuned to the website and here for updates!

Big morning! Tons of fun and fast laps at Speedworld today. All 3 classes were amazing! I think Brandon had the fast lap today, and best wheelies for sure. Great battles everywhere, Megan with some tough luck and a broken bike but you know she's going to come back fierce next week. Sunday saw personal bests by Matt, Jack, and Ty, we welcomed new members Janel and Easton to the MBGP family, and welcome the return of fast guy Curtis, one of our original members from 2009 :) Thanks to all the parents and my special flaggers for helping out, we'll see you next week - Mike

One insane morning at MBGP! Everybody was killing it! Separate Junior, Intermediate, and Expert classes with every rider getting faster and faster every lap. If you missed it, don't worry, we're back every Saturday :)
