Biography
MAARTA was born in Hamburg but moved to Montenegro, Kotor at a very young age. On her return to Germany she turned her back on school and embarked on a career in music. Berlin seemed the natural starting point and inspired by artists like Black Coffee and Honey Dijon, she sought to combine her new found love of electronic music with the sound of her more urban roots. Honing her craft in a city rich in musical history, MAARTA looks set to make waves in 2020.
With a background in tech House, Funk House, Hip-Hop, Soul and Afro House, she creates explosive beats that pulsate through the listener’s body causing them to not only feel MAARTA’s energy in her songs, but also having an almost out of body experience. “FLAUNT MAGAZINE”
