🧡 Care about the experience!
🦁 I could hear lions roar when I started this yoga practice in the dark!
🙈 Many things made me hesitate to practice that morning. The sunrise was later than I hoped. I couldn’t find a quiet spot on the campsite and ended up between a jeep and a tent and hearing people preparing breakfast.
🧘♀️ But I wanted to practice in the middle of the Serengeti park in Tanzania. One of the best safari locations!
💗 It is a reminder to cherish the experience instead of wanting things to be perfect.
🗺️ This summer, I chose the experience instead of the comfort during my trip in Africa.
⛺ Joining a camping trip, sharing my tent, not having nice bathrooms, going overland instead of flying and using the occasional wifi were intentional choices!
🏆 They all allowed me to visit more places, drive through many landscapes, travel with friendly people and disconnect from the busy world back home.

During my trip in Africa, we went to the island of Zanzibar. It felt like a holiday within a holiday 😀
It had similar colours than Mallorca, but it was more beautiful… was it just the coconuts? 😉
I was able to do a sunrise yoga practice in front of the ocean on the incredibly smooth sand 🤩
Where you practice can help you feel more motivated, especially with nature surrounding you 💫

Good habits don’t just happen, you must put some intention into doing them 🎯
📽️ These 2 time-lapses are from my trip in Africa. That morning, I had agreed I would lead 3 girls for a short yoga session.
👑 As I knew I wouldn’t be practising myself the same way, I decided to go before to start moving my body alone. It ended up being a mix of Pilates and yoga, which felt good and hard at the same time after many days of not working out!
🧘♀️ Then we went to the shade and did yoga with the girls. One of the guys just wanted to watch as he’d never done yoga before… he ended up on my mat doing it 😉
Will he ever do yoga again, we don’t know, but just having the intention to try it is a win 🤩

What I love about yoga is to add it to my active/sporty lifestyle 🤸♀️
After some fun beach volleyball with my travelling buddies in Africa, I decided to walk further down the beach to do a little yoga flow 🧘♀️
One of the girls shouted, “Are you ok, Soph?”, I replied, “Yes ✌️ doing yoga”.
Next thing I knew the 3 girls came up to me and asked if they could join 😍
I love it when what you do is contagious 🙌

Where is your happy place?
🌊 Most of my yoga practices during my trip in Africa were next to the water!
💫 I have been reflecting on them, as I surprised myself to dare do yoga alone outdoors.
🙌 We all grow constantly. On social media, we seem to know what we’re doing. But in real life, we probably all agree it’s not exactly true. I’ve been doing some inner work this year with my coach. And it has changed how I show up on my mat.
🧘♀️ I used to not practice alone in public and rarely create my own practice. Somehow, I found the motivation many mornings during my trip to get up before the others and enjoy the morning light/sunrise and quietness (and not stay up for some chitchat and a beer the night before).
💙 I am grateful I practised so many mornings, as it brought joy and peacefulness into my mind. It helped my body to stretch after so many hours of driving. And it gave me confidence to showing up for what I like without needing others’ approval.
⛺ Going to bed early and looking forward to my self-care time in the morning... We all change, and this is one thing I don’t regret I’ve changed for!

🦁KEEP GOING🦋
For this second practice in Luangwa Park, I pushed myself again.
🦛 To walk further down to the grass, which felt like intruding on the animals’ place.
🦓 To get up, do my thing, and not think about other people’s judgments.
🦌 To let my body flow, although I was feeling stuck in my brain for a few days.
💫 And allowing the change and the uncertainty I felt that week to flow.
This week, I’m again in a flow of changes 🙃 Last weekend, I started creating the video with this cover voice that I found inspiring to keep going even if it’s not always perfect.
And today, it’s reminding me that I should take the time to practice yoga! Even if I don’t feel I have the time and space for it 💙🧘

🌍 It was my first practice during my trip in Africa this summer 😊
It had been 10 days that I was travelling, changing campsite every day, and feeling already tired. This time, we had 2 nights at this place in the middle of a national park. And we didn’t have an early start that morning, so I got up before the others to find time for myself and practice yoga for 40min. 🙌😍
I felt so much better afterwards! ❤️
My body had been crying for the stretch, my mind had been calling to go within, and my breath had been asking to calm down! 💫
The surrounding was so peaceful and beautiful with the wild animals around! There were hippos in the river in front of me 🦛🐒🦌
