Suicide Prevention & Men's Mental Health #ItsOKToTalk
As many of you know, I wanted to support two very important local charities focused on Men's Mental Health and Suicide Prevention following the heartbreaking loss of my Dad in September 💔
@Scott from Andys Man Club Aberdeen and Sandy Garvock from Men United SCIO in Peterhead both attended Heart & Soul Awards last week to talk about their work and how they help. I'm sure everyone there will agree that it was very emotional, but it's awareness that needs to be raised.
Scott shared a powerful video with me, which I played during the evening. I’m happy to share that the event has led to men who attended reaching out to these charities, which is amazing.
If I can help just one person and prevent heartache, then it will all be worth it.
I'll be closing the JustGiving page tonight and will share the funds equally between the two charities. Right now, we have an incredible £1450. Let’s see if we can round it off to £1500 by tonight.
